You totally should. The materials have got to be next to nothing and no doubt their just gonna tap the existing sump pit, so it's not like they need to core the concrete.

 

Any reason you cant get the PVC and fan and do it yourself?

Generally you need to show an invoice from a "licensed installer" to satisfy the requirement.

I would offer them the cash concession and let them figure it out, unless of course they can't get loan approval because of it.

j/k - I don't do heights and I believe the piping needs to go to the roof line from everything I've seen so far. I could be completely wrong on that though.

 

This is how it went down when I bought my house. The sellers offered cash concessions. I agreed to it and then never got the radon system installed.

 

Above Roof line unless somehow there is not a window within X feet of discharge, at least that was rules when I had side biz finishing basements in Broomfield.

 

That's what we offered as well, but they claimed their lender required it be installed prior to close.

Radon thing is a bunch of crap. Home inspectors do not have to be licensed and Radon is now the cash cow - inspectors report to the Board of Realtors - fox in the hen house here. Homedepot has kits (pipe, fan,..) you can install - have to have outside electrical switch - so need to pull permit for inspection. Good luck.

 

Unfortunately there were puddles so you aren't supposed to go out on it, others had. Along the entrance road was all dry and smoother than the concrete.
