Any reviews on destiny 2? I'm heading to gamestop and might buy the destiny 2 pro bundle. Unless it's awful then I'm not gonna get the bundle

 

D2 "RIGHT NOW" is complete and utter shit. It is the worst new game that has come out in years. I've voiced my displeasure about this game ad nauseam so I won't rehash it now. There is nothing to do in the game once you complete the game / raid and the rewards are complete shit.

That said... The live team is taking over (the ones responsible for TTK, Wrath of the Machine, etc...) so there is hope. We have to wait until the first of Dec. to see what, if any meaningful changes take place so I'm holding out judgement. But the state of the game right now is COMPLETE MOTHERFUCKING SHIT!!!. Time will tell if it gets better.

So if by some chance they have a pro bundle with an extra controller or something, I should buy that over the destiny bundle?

 

As much shit as I've talked about D2 I would still buy the bundle. For the main reason if you haven't played any at all, it's doubtful that you will reach endgame by the time the expansions come out. Hopefully the game will be better with the new expansion. So I'd recommend you getting the D2 bundle even though the end game sucks at the moment. You'll still have fun playing through the missions.

 

I played OG destiny a shit Ton. Quit before the newest expansion (machine thing?) though. I guess I'll get it. I have a coworker who plays it for the pvp a lot so if nothing else I can do that.

 

The new 4v4 PvP sucks. Nothing like D1

 

It isn't the worst multiplayer out there. The pvp game mechanics are better than D1 but 4v4 is pretty shitty because of the team shooting so I'll give you that. Also they have alot of weapons to choose from but only like 5 are usable so they definitely need to do some rebalancing there.

 

There's no OG pvp modes?

 

Only 2 modes competitive and quickplay

Quickplay= control and clash
Competitive =elimination type and plant a bomb type game

 

And there is no private matches but supposedly it's coming

 

Everyone I know who played D1 and went to D2 has stopped playing and basically said screw you to the developers. No real content and its a lot of the same stuff from D1. Basically the few guys Ive talked to about it feel ripped off for paying 60 bucks for hardly game and then have to pay more just to get actual end game content.

 

Can't wait for one of the old CODs to get remastered. Prestige-ing every couple days on a game I barely enjoy like WWII is getting boring, especially when you can barely play domination on it. If my K/D wasn't good, I probably would've played it for only a couple hours tops total.

 

As someone who bought the $99 version of D2 on PS4, and got to 305 after 10 days and getting all the trophies right after the raid came out, I'm furious. But then again, I'm probably going to be playing it again when the vex dlc comes out.

The multiplayer is not nearly as fun as D1 IMO. You bring up the weapons and yes you are correct... There are only a handful of weapons that are useful since the loot pool is so small. So, autorifle, Sidearm, or Mida, sidearm, with the occasional SMG thrown in.

I've never been ripped off by a game as much as I have with Bungie and D2. They promised us so much more but didn't deliver on shit. I despise this "everyone gets a participation trophy" for playing. You can reach 305 without ever stepping into end game content is absolutely stupid and whoever thought that was a good idea is a goddamn fucking idiot. Clan rewards??? You mean when we finish the raid everyone in the clan gets a reward from the raid without having to actually finish it? Trials is the same way. You can get a reward for never stepping foot into Trials? NF? Same thing.

"Here... Thanks for playing" "We know you aren't good enough to play endgame content but you deserve a reward for just running around shooting a few things" "We wouldn't want you to pull your part". FUCK YOU BUNGIE. If I wanted to play Hello Kitty Online that's what I'd play.

*EDIT* D2 has lost more than 75% of its player base since the game released. That should tell you something in this game (many things actually) are fucked and the team behind it should be fired for misleading us into thinking we would be getting something that is greater than D1. It's not even close to D1 in scope.

I'm the same way. I'll play it once the expansion drops but for the next month I've got nothing to do.
