It is, but for alcohol. They’ve put a lot of small liquor stores out of business. I shouldn’t go there, but the prices are good, and they have a decent selection.

I'm in favor of specs because a lot of reasons. First is price and selection. Second is most mom and pop liquor stores are shady af. Third is fuck TABC and the liquor laws here cuz it's all based on the LACK of separation of church and state and you bet the mom and pop shops have a hand in that.

 

Hell I have to leave the county just to find a liquor store. It's BS. Luckily I live a town that borders the county line. Still bs.

And, before Las Vegas, Newport Kentucky was the hub of organized crime and gambling in the US.
