I am interested in this awning, I have been following this awning since your other group buy. Seems to be a steal at the price. Depending on when you purchase I would be IN on the group buy. I assume shipping to 31204 would be around $60... The length is worrisome, not sure if i would mount this on my M416 trailer or the truck (Short bed truck....).

It'll be between 55-65 dollars to Georgia based on past shipments of the awning. I can get you an exact quote if you provide a complete address.

I'll put you down on the interest list. Let me know if you change your mind and I'll remove you. Interested in the annex as well?

Spoke to the manufacturer last night about the annex and they informed me that the annex attaches via Velcro at the top of the awning and comes with its own bag for storage.

Nah, I don't see a need for the annex right now. Maybe in a future group buy I'll get that also. I have to get my trailer back and get s ok me measurements to figure out the mounting and length. 7ft is pretty long.

This is a pic of the hinge.. I have replaced all hardware included with the awning, including the hardware in this picture. All the fittings came loos from the factory and stripped two bolts trying to tighten everything up.

this is how all the poles come together

The straps are a must!! the bag is just WAY too big. I am going to use a tarp as a foot print..I am going to roll it up and stuff it inside the bag with the awning. This should help take up some of the room

Here is how i mounted it too my roof rack. My awning did not come with the mounting brackets. Not a big deal, i didnt plan on using them. I picked up 3 heavy duty L brackets from ACE hardware..trimmed them down..and welded them to my roof rack.

Yes sir. Taking names for the awning and the annex for it.
Shipping for the awning to Texas has been between 45-60 depending on the region. If you pm me your full address I can get you an exact quote for the awning. The annex I'm not sure about yet as I don't have the final shipping specs. Let me know if you're interested and I'll add you to the list.
    Cheers!

    Bump.

This is probably the last buy I'll be doing for these so get in while you can people! I had so many people pm me about how bummed they were that they missed the first one then mysteriously disappeared. I'm shooting for 30 combined units before placing the order. I'll be negotiating with the manufacturer tonight regarding these terms. Let me know people!

Mounted my awning yesterday using 10" L brackets from ace hardware (holes line up better and are centered). I really love the coverage this thing provides. Some pictures included:

I am interested in the awning only, but have a couple of questions.

    1) I have a cheap Curt rack on my Grand Cherokee and it's not the extruded tubing where you can slide fasteners in place like with the Front Runner and Prinsu racks. What would be the best way to mount the brackets to the rack? I don't have the welding skills like what you see in Wolfgang's pics, and honestly I don't know if I'd even weld anything on this rack fearing the steel may be too thin.

    2) I'm hoping to be in a Tacoma around next spring, so that brings up the next question on mounting it on that. I do plan on getting a roof rack (Front Runner) for it, but will I also need a bed rack due to the awnings length? Could I still use a Softopper with a bed rack?

I like those awnings, but I think I'd prefer a roof rack and soft top for the bed for my first truck mods.

@tacolvr70 If you have a bed cage over your soft topper you wouldn't necessarily need a roof rack. If you want to go with a soft top and not a hard shell... this is what you'd be looking for in a rack. http://sosoffroadconcepts.com/bestop-bedrack/ If you want your bed covered... I'd probably go hard shell with a rack that runs the length of the cab and shell... Looks very clean.

to answer 1) I'd need to see pics of the current set up to give installation suggestions

I'm in for the awning and annex, provided this ships by January.

I know the current focus is on the awnings, but if the buy expands I would also be extremely interested in a 2-3 person extended RTT with annex (similar to the TT-02 on pg 1) from the same manufacturer.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with a Curt rack. Is it round tube or square? If it's round, there are mounts for round tubes that can be used with the supplied L brackets. If it's flat, I'd consider drilling some mounting points into it. Regarding the Tacoma, I'd suggest mounting on a bed rack vs. a roof rack. Certain companies do make bed racks that fit over the softopper. Perhaps someone with more info on that could chime in as I don't know which companies they are.
