Yeah, a winch dampener is a cheaper option. I just couldn't believe that a winch could suck up a whole coat like that lol.

When we gonna see you up here!?!?!?!?!?!??! The Freeze Your Gas Off run is in December

Shittybilt 9.5. Works great but it is a PAIN to pull cable -> a lot of resistance. Its fine if you are only winching once a day, but I pulled cable half a dozen times today. Shit gets old having to pull that hard...cause I am old.

Not yet and my clutch is made as hell. On the road its fine, but I constantly have to slip the clutch off road. I am thinking of going 4.88s when I get the cash saved up

    According to @TYetti , 4.88's are a great choice!

How many miles you have on you truck now?

4.88s are great for 35s if you're on 33s I'd wait or just buy bigger tires.

I have not read anything lol

Freeze is my favorite run of the year! Great group of guys and and wheeling in snow is fun.

Have fun with the repairs and mods...truck parts make me happy.

Well, I am on 33s now. I wheel a lot on big rocks and I live in a mountainous area. With the 4.10s, getting my truck moving from a stop is a pain. Offroad I constantly am burning the clutch when on an obstacle. Not to mention I stall out on the rocks frequently because of my current gears. That said, I am leaning towards 4.88s just for the advantages offroad, I don't care about gaining to many RPMs at higher speeds.

With all of that said, I am 90% sure I will go to 35s anyhow lol.

I know you need a master install kit as well. Personally I plan on buying pre-assembled 3rd members from ECGS. Then all I have to do is swap it out with my old ones.

I am starting to build on the wife's FJ BTW! Looking into doing a moderate build that can handle mild moderate trails. Looking into lift options now. Can't seem to find a 2 inch lift out there. Seems to be level it out or 3 inch only.

I really like my Bilstein 6112s up front. They ride so nice, and really soak up big bumps well and overall damp much better than 5100s. I've got wheelers springs in the rear(1.5" lift or so & +15% load capacity). Pretty decent setup I think. I've only got 5100s in the rear that will be swapped for 5160s soon. The rear is really under damped compared to the front with the 6112s.
