I've got the rope and the nail gun. I'll find a hot road somewhere. But I need a rabid pitbull. Anyone help me out?

In 2007 late July I ordered my 08 and got it the 2nd week of September. There is nothing wrong with my 08. It runs great. Thought I would keep it forever. This spring I decided I was tired of it and would get an 18. Checked with the dealer today again and they think they will start getting them in Dec. Still cannot place a legitimate order or build.

Because Toyota knew I was finally ready to purchase my new truck this year and they wanted to torture me?

Toyota Safety Sense™ (TSS) 20 is a bundle of active safety features on many new Toyota vehicles at no additional cost. These innovative features were designed to help protect you and your passengers from harm.

anyone waiting for this nanny system deserves to live with it. Every time you try to back in somewhere, or make a tight parking spot and your nanny mobile slams on the breaks, forcing your head into the windshield, Just remember how much safer you are.

My wife has a 2018 C-HR with TSS and every vehicle coming in the other direction makes the sensors go beep beep beep. It’s awful! These other vehicles are in the opposite lane 30 feet on the other side of her car. It gets annoying QUICK!

Half of you guys waiting for this will have it completely turned off within a week.

The last new car I bought was a 1991 Cressida, in late 1990--and that was 'cause I had a $500/month car allowance as part of my compensation package.

Bought my "new-to-me", very clean, no rust (spent its whole life in Florida), '09 DCSB with 134k miles a year ago and have put 7000 carefree miles on it since (no leaks, now vibrations, no trips to the dealer, no nothing); looking forward to at least 100k more. My wife's '03 Highlander (we bought in '06 with 83k) just turned 225k the other day, looks good and runs like a champ.

We will most likely never buy another new one as it is just about the quickest way I know to lose thousands of dollars...

Head up their ass? Quite the opposite I would say.

How do you increase demand on your most popular model? Limit supply.

Read your own damn post, as soon as they're available people like you will be standing in line and forget about the right price, your desperation and lack of patience will cause you to pay a premium to quit searching. You sound like an addict getting mad because you can't have one yet.

Expect a big spike in sales when released, especially with the economy the way it is.

Toyota knows exactly what they're doing.

Yep, being the desperate, impatient drug addict that I am, I will angrily run to the first 2018 model I see and throw a wad of cash at the salesman and beg to pay full MSRP or higher. Because I have to have it. Now. /Sarcasm

Look, I don't know the real reason they are releasing them later this year. Do you work for Toyota, by chance? As a potential buyer I just see a late release and a much-shortened production run for the 2018's. I think their own literature said like a 7 month production run or something. That's like 58% of a year. I don't know if that's a normal and calculated decision by Toyota, but without knowing the true rationale it seems retarded to me. But I don't manufacture cars for a living.

And yet you fret about it, worrying and speculating when they will it be available and ready to purchase.....

You'll be throwing money at the first truck in the color you want.

No, I don't work for Toyota, I just spent 3 months test driving the trucks till I knew what I wanted, ordered my truck when available and patiently waited for it to arrive while I still drove my 1st gen.
