I sold an LBZ 6.6 duramax tho buy the taco.

It was super reliable, ridiculously capable, terrible to drive, didn't fit in the garage so it was always cold in the am... And a metric fuckton in tires, fuel, maintenance, and registration fees. I'm not even sure how you guys got from taco to real work truck. It could tow a trailer with 10 Tacomas in it at about the same level of effort a Tacoma could pull one Silverado. They should not be compared on any planet.

No complaints here about the Chevy but I'm happy I don't need a 2500HD anymore.

I went from the lbz to a 2016 ISB 6.7 as a work truck. The Taco is a toy.

Yeah, the three gallon oil changes are a bitch, as are constantly changing fuel filters, but the mileage on these mid sizers isn’t much better....and face it, when it comes to towing and working, the big diesels have no peer.

The lbz is a frigging rocket. Those trucks flat get out and get.

Try 4 gallon oil changes on the 7.3 and an auto that needs a fluid change every 30k!

Maintenance is a bitch on anything 3/4 ton that really works. As you noted, there is no replacement though!

My Dad’s got serious taste in vehicles. 06 LBZ CCSB for a tow rig, 08 Mazdaspeed 3 for a daily and an 05 STi for the weekend. Between the two of us, we have about all of the ridiculously valued secondhand vehicles covered.

I had a 7.3 F250 Lariat cc sb. Engine was a peach, the auto tranny gave me a lot of problems...and that was with stock power.

When I had the 2006 cc lbz, I also had an evo 9 mr. I’d love to have low mile examples of both cars back.....
