I've ordered the Barcallona red. Everyone has silver and grey, didn't want orange or primer.

I was looking at a used 2G in Barcelona Red with a matching cab, but it was just a bit too much red...

Yep, looks fantastic in the shade- ended up too much for us in the direct sunlight.

Beautiful truck! Also a beautiful area, drove through for the first time in my life a month ago... very martian. Saw some snow fall on the Coquihalla though, that was a bit nerve wracking!

Bought a 2016 TRD OR access cab in Barcelona Red this year. I'll be honest, not a big fan of red for a vehicle but damn it's a good looking truck.

I love my Barcelona Red TRD Pro, it's almost a blood red, and I'm not a red vehicle type of guy, but with all the black accents on my truck, the red looks awesome

Barcelona Red and Inferno and definitely the rarer colors for third gens in my area. But they look the sharpest, IMO. I ended up with red because I think it accents better with black.

Don't forget to take the front rail off the old one.... You know that rail across the front of the box..!! It will fit the 3rd. Take the sliding "tie-downs" also...

Just a heads up, all the 2018 Tacoma pricing was released today. Pending on the model they are roughly $1200-1800 more, so not a huge increase with the addition of Toyota Safety Sense

IDK, will have to wait for the build section on Toyota.ca to see for sure.

If you think about it, Toyota Safety Sense doesn't add a whole lot to the Limited, basically front radar adding the auto braking , dynamic cruise, and lane departure. Also SB version now, so that would save a few more bucks.

If those 3 things were an option for $1800, I would have passed. I get prices go up, that's life, but I'd say it's quite a bit.

Does anyone know if the Canadian 2018 models will offer a manual, double cab off road model?

I want a manual. Need a double cab, and I really hate all the stuff they put on the sport model. I don’t like the moonroof, stupid sensors, body coloured fenders etc etc. The off road is a much better fit for me. Heck I’d like it even more basic if possible.

But right now I’m forced to pick a sport for manual. Which I’d really rather not do. If I can get the off road in manual I’ll wait for 2018s.
    Thank you.

Unlikely.....which is unfortunate as that's the exact configuration I would like as well.

I’m happy with the short bed. In fact I really don’t like the long bed looks at all.

And the suspension yes is easily changed.
But it’s all the other unnecessary blingy stuff I don’t want. Like moonroof, body coloured fenders, stupid electronic sensors etc.

I wish I could get an even more basic model. But at least the off road has some useful features like the skid plates and better wheel sizes. I can’t understand why the off road isn’t the standard transmission.
Standard is so much better off road.

I wanted a long bed because there is a James Baroud rooftop tent that can fit on mid-rise bars over the bed. With the short bed I ordered, I have to buy a mounting system that extends over the cab, which adds unnecessary expense and introduces the possibility of roof leaks even if using the factory holes.

Also, to me, a five foot bed is a bit small to be practical. But I will use this truck as a daily driver, more or less like a car, most of the time. I can rent a trailer any time. The short bed/wheelbase should be more manoevreable in parking lots.

Like you, I really didn't want a vape vent, but what are you going to do when the manufacturer limits the optionality to improve production and supply chain efficiency?

Probably end up buying an off road model in the USA and bring it up here.

I’m buying this partly as my daily car, partly as my business vehicle.
A truck is not sporty. Trying to sell a truck as a sport model is moronic. I just wish you could actually buy a truck these days that just has seats, steering wheel and a good stereo. That’s it. I don’t need all this so called luxury junk.

Even better will be once Mexico comes on line to the riv import system next year or so and we can then just buy a hilux.
