The silver trd’s trail teams are exactly the ones I have. I had the hardest time choosing between the silver or gunmetal! I think in the end I made a good choice! ;):thumbsup:10D30FCA-48B3-4DA2-B856-DC690971244A.jpg

I'm thinking the 17" 4Runner wheels are what I'm going to go with.

I spoke with a guy at Down East Off Road in Wilson and he told me that he would recommend a block in the back rather than an AAL because the block would give a better ride and not stiffen up the suspension. I want to put 285/70R17's and put a 2 1/2" lift under my new purchased 2015 Tacoma DC TRD OR, not going to do much if any off roading, so which type lift would you recommend for the rear a block or AAL? I just want the best ride I can get considering what I'm doing.

Not many guys here are going to recommend a block for the rear. I have an AAL, and I think the ride is great. I have 5100's in the front @ 1.75" which made the ride a little more firm, and the AAL did the same for the back. Which I consider an improvement. The truck handles better than it did before. The one criticism I hear about blocks is that they cause/exacerbate axle wrap.

I wonder why the guy at the shop was so instant on putting a block. I mentioned that a lot of guys on here were using AAL, but he keep on about how many Toyota's he's done using blocks. I mean it's a good size company that does a lot of trucks. So basically even though my truck will not be seeing off road the AAL will be the best way to lift the rear? How much stiffer is the suspension compared to stock when driving on the road?

I got 2.5 in front and 1 inch block in back. There is about a 1/4 rack toward the front which is only slightly noticeable. I use as a daily driver and no off rode except to the gun range. Ride is fine. If it was 4x4 I would have definitely went with a lift. @ChadsPride asked yesterday when I was going to lift and it’s got me thinking again. LOL!

After reading all your post I didn't find if this lift is for function or show. I have a 15 2wd and replace my 15 with a 16 sport suspension. Added a 1/2 inch spacer upfront and aal in the rear. I got a total of 2 or 2.25 up front (1 or 1.25 from the coils and 1 from the spacer)and 1.5 in the rear. My truck won't be abused and the spacer and single aal ride just fine on the pavement. Sooner or later, hopefully, I will purchase a boat so I added the aal to keep the rake for hauling purposes. I think the most important part is the alignment and caster adjustment once you're lifted.20170521_124003.jpg

I'm thinking of leveling to get a bit more aggressive stance and I think I have a little extra sag in the front end because of the Ranch Hand. That said, I really, really don't want to loose any acceleration or cornering and would like to stay relatively cheap. Any thoughts on what to do?

I can't say I've ever heard of anyone losing any power from a lift. Bigger, heavier tires, yes, but not from the lift. Cornering (unless you go with a massive lift) will likely improve. Most normal (2-3") lifts improve cornering, as the suspension usually rides a little firmer in many cases.

Wouldn't there be more body role being higher up? Would a spacer lift have a different affect on it than a suspension lift like you're talking about?

Why are you selling if I might ask? And what price are you thinking?

Yes, a higher center of gravity will make it more prone to roll over, but were talking about a truck that sits maybe ~ 5' 8" ish high, and only adding 2-3" to it. I can only comment on suspension lifts, as most of them have either stiffer springs, or (like mine) are pre loading the factory springs, which allows much less body roll when taking turns.

I bought the pro at a very good price. I was originally looking at the sr5s and ORs to upgrade but got this pro cheaper and lower milage then a OR, even though i didn't want the package. Replacing them with Kings & Dakars. instead of hacking it with spacers and what not. 700$ <10k miles on them.

So I ordered my 2' leveling kit from Rough Country, planning on installing next week. What all should I expect after the fact? Mpg? Ride quality? Anything you think I should know, anything helps

I think mine rides fine. I’m not sure what tires your running but if not 265 or above they will be to small!

I still have the stock dunflops on... I guess I'll have to survive till the tread wears down enough to get new ones. :(

I'm planning on installing Friday afternoon, I can't wait!

Was going to do same thing. They gave me a good deal on tires and installing since I️ already had it in getting work done. They also sold my stock tires for me.
