I pulled out the little brass thingy. Went for a little test drive and found that the rear tires now seem to lose traction when accelerating. Is that normal?

Ah bummer. If it were me in your situation, I'd be looking at other options well. Thankfully, I've had no issues at all since the initial release when it was running rich. Since Scott updated the tune, its been smooth sailing.

Didn't realize OVtune was a thing now. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.

In preparation for my UCON & ECU install - can you access everything OK with just removing the glovebox, or did you need to disassemble the dash?

You should be able to buy the cam gears and thermostat separately

@TRON i cant find em, doubt gadget will sell them

A member said he would buy my ucon today, I told him I had no cam gears for him, He said urd was asking outrageous prices for the gears alone. Like 500-600. Although I have no proof whatsoever this is the case.

@Torspd or anyone else who knows how to get them, Let me know so I can sell this thing

It would be easy to do the cam gears by modifying the oem ones. Just find some shop with CAD and laser, or just file them by yourself.

You could just do a new hollow to the opposite side and 3° off.

    URD left, OEM right:

Have you done your restrictor jet removal and bypass hose replacement or clamp mods yet? If you haven't, you definitely need to!!

No, not yet. I just want to get it running safely again first. Still running the BD tune .....
Shop that I was working with told me the latest BD tune update was too lean - & yet my tailpipe is sooty black, MPG is still total crap. Holding out a LOT of hope the UCON system can do a better job.

I can confirm that $500-600 price for the cam gear. A while ago, I found a used APR X1 for pretty cheap but w/o the cam gear (I already have the thermo). Emailed URD to ask about buying the cam gear separately and got a quote for $500. No thanks....
