TW is much less invasive and doesn't demand you inform them of every detail of your life. There's a lot larger degree of anonymity with TW.

Meh, I guess it just triggers my internet paranoia. Even my elderly mom and her older sister are on facebook. I tried it for a while, but I didn't like the amount of information they required you to provide (even if you get creative with said info) just to get an account and then it seemed like it was slowing my computer down, even when I wasn't on it. Seemed to me it was just a vulnerability to be exploited so I dumped it.

 

Thinking about possibly putting these tires on my truck. They are Atturo M/T's. I'm looking for a inexpensive quality 285x75R16 M/T. The price for these four tires without installation is around $650. Feel free to post your comments - or + about these tires. Thanks guys

My gran pappy always said spend the most money on the things that come between you and the earth, your bed, your floor, your shoes, and your tires.

 

Yeah I hear ya ,but I haven't read anything horrible about the tire. The only thing I read that is negative was that it only last for about 30,000 miles.

 

So spend less than double that and get a tire that will last for 60k

It all boils down to what I can afford now to than what I can afford later. So maybe I should wait and go with a reputable brand

 

If you reaaalllyyy reaaalllyyy want tires the tire size is common enough to get a used set. Check out Craigslist and offer up hell even the classifieds on here. I want tires too but Im working on getting my suspension done first

 

I know that @Broverlanding has Atturo Trailblades on his Taco.

I'm in the same boat tires wise. I'm split between an AT that will last and an MT that will work. I've been eyeballing some of the hybrid offerings, but right now I think the most bang for my buck will be General AT2s. Given that Expedition Overland has run the same set of AT2s on a couple of their trucks from the northern edge of the Yukon to the Darien Gap in Panama (puncture free, IIRC) is testament enough for me.

 

I have heard that the General AT2's like to sling rocks . Lee Check out the Falken Wildpeaks AT3. Im pretty sure @JD'STaco ,@bigfoote13 and @Strictlytoyz are all running them and like them a lot.

 

I just bought a set of 265s for the 4r and they are pretty aggressive for a AT. I haven't gone off-road with them yet but on road manners have been great.
