Thanks! I have but I think they’re down too tight. Need to loosen to let the braces go up some to stretch it out.

There should be two holes in the upright tube that the pins goe through. Put the pins through the bottom hole to elevate the back crossbar.

Yep. I just the other day adjusted my straps to reduce tension on the snaps.

Is it just me, or is the rear window rake on the shortbed Softopper less vertical than on long beds or other trucks? The DCSB is so space-limited that this seems to be even more restrictive than it needs to be. But I've never seen one in person, only pics so maybe it's not a problem.

Based on photos, I would have to agree. The rear of the Softopper I had on my old long bed was much more vertical than the SB appear to be.

Looks like you have a darker tinted window. How is the visibility thru the darker tint?

Visibility isn't much of a concern, at least I have never found myself complaining about it. I like the look a lot more than the clear windows also. Night time will obviously be where you would notice but again, I've never cursed myself for getting the tinted version.

I'd like to have the privacy of the darker tint for anything in the truck bed, but also like to still be able to see out the back.

You will be fine then. The vinyl window facing the cab is clear so your only looking through a single tinted vinyl window. When I put my topper back on I will try and get some pictures for you.

I've got the tinted window as well. I also have limo tint on my rear window on top of OEM tint. At night all I can see is the faint twinkle of headlights, not a damn thing else. Daytime is manageable, only just. But again, I have tint over factory windows so YMMV

Adjusted mine and shifted it forward to close the gap more. Def looks better after loosening the straps.

Looking good everybody! I originally picked one up to sleep in the back but that took up too much space in the bed because I didn't have any sort of sleeping platform at the time.

I REALLY Love mine and like the aspect of being able to take it off and store it in my garage without takeing up almost no space.

I had been looking for some sort of rack to go over the top and was about to make my own until I stumbled on this craigslist gem! It's a Heavy Duty aluminum lumber rack that came off of a 1st gen and is made to go over a topper.

    This and that...

Make sure the base bar is at the recommended distance from the edge of the bed all the way down. I know with mine it was tough to get it straight since the bed-liner tapers in. It created an illusion that they were angled in but were still equal distance from tip to tail. Hopefully that helps...

You know what brand the rack is? Been looking to get or make a rack that would go over my ST too.
