I have a pair but I only use them on airplanes when I’m traveling. I have 2 in ear pair for the gym, both wireless. That’s the way to go :notsure:

I made the switch to over the ear and can't go back to the shitty little buds. I only got them for the noise cancelling and it's awesome. I can cut grass and can barely hear the mower and, best of all, I can tone out all the idiots at the gym. Only downsides is they get sweaty from your ears and start to stink, but it's nothing a little cleaning every now and then can't take care of.

Well on 9/2 I barely got 405 on squats. It was ugly, but I counted it as a PR. Last week I did it again, but @Newlife pointed out that I didn't get down far enough. Did it again last night and I'm happy with it. 405 was so easy. Ended up getting 415 after that and I think I could've gotten 420, but the walkback in that shitty squat rack was starting to get sketchy. I wish we had one of the ones that didn't require you to walk backwards. I also noticed my heels caved in at the bottom of the lift, so I think I'm gonna try some squat shoes with the raised heel to see if they help. Shout out to @Mateo74 for the belt and @ThunderCookies for the knee sleeves. Both are quality items!

    Like, so many.
There's a guy who works out at my gym. Super focused, always does his own thing, never talks to anyone, just shows up and puts in work. So the other day he's in there, killing it as usual and I see this skinny high school kid eyeing him. This kid doesn't know what he's doing and he's just sort of moving from machine to machine with no plan at all. He eventually walks to over the guy (who has his ear buds in and is clearly in the middle of something) and asks him what he's working on. I'm watching the whole thing to see how it goes down. The guy takes out his ear buds and starts talking to the kid. He invites the kid to workout with him and talks him through everything. The kid is trying his best to keep up, put he just can't. So the guy dials it back a few notches and gives him a pep talk. The guy ends up spending 45 minutes showing this kid around the gym, teaching him how to use the machines and how to do some basic lifts. He even writes a out a weekly workout plan for the kid. His whole workout was blown, but it made the kid's day and maybe even set him on the right path. It was pretty cool to watch.

    It's weird....I don't like it.

I don't mind when folks ask for advice. I never give out unsolicited advice and I workout alone and with headphones on, but sometimes I'll get a newb asking questions and I don't mind at all. I remember when I was that dude and it was pretty scary. I take it as a compliment because it means they're 'mirin.

There was a dude at my gym for a grand total of maybe two weeks that would provide so much unsolicited critiquing, not even advice. I'll admit I'm an asshole, that's a given, but I tend to be more lenient with strangers in my gym than a stranger on the street. Dude got a three strike rule from the owner because of his bullshit and it sucked being in that environment and super focused on something and this fucking idiot waddles over immediately bragging about god knows what and how you're not going to achieve anything because you aren't sucking a Louie Simmons dickshake down with chains off the shaker bottle and blah blah blah. This is why I love non-corporate gyms.

Eat. I can also teach you how to bench over 225, pencil neck.

Lol me too. The gym I go to and used to work at is locally owned and we've got 1-2 retards, but no one that bad. I have a group of 3-4 people I talk to every day between sets b/c we're all always there at the same time, but it's usually non gym related b/s. The only time I'd ever give anyone advice is if they asked. I dunno why folks think people want to hear their opinion on shit, but some people love to give it.

Went in last night to do some “lite” deadlifts. Ended up making it to 500x5 before my cns said fuck you im done. After that some behind the neck pull downs megasetted with pendalay rows and and close grip machine pulls. Then did some back bsck Extensions and foam rolled for about 30 minutes super wiped after that. Home just in time to see my wife and dogs go to bed to eat some cor with strawberry protein

His squat sucks because he's a chicken legged mofo who benches and curls everyday.

I wish mine were as good as some of yoos guise, but we all started somewhere. I think my CNS needs a recovery week. Been setting PRs for the last 2 weeks and last night was skwats but I could even get the courage to go to 315, even though I did it last week. I'm gonna de-load this week(end) and get back on it next week. Then 355 DL!
