    Maybe I just change mine too much, my 5th set about to go in the truck now, 175k miles and no failures yet. Any sign of play and I change mine regardless of age or mileage

    Edit: 175k on the odometer, I have only driven 110k of that with 5 bj changes

    Honestly this is close to where I am going as well. Since the truck is no longer a DD and really only gets taken out for winter or wheeling, when it is being driven it's being beat to shit.

    1. OEM/not waiting for failure
    2. Regular monitoring/rechecking torque etc.
    3. Very aware or consious of when I am applying added stress in specific trail conditions.
    4. I am generally not a heavy throttle driver.
    5. Just lucky. :notsure:

    I am sure all of those are a factor but I was think more about those times what all (or most of) the weight of the vehicle is applying presssure to one of the front wheels. These are typically high flex, low speed scenarios.

    The redhead is a fat bitch, there is no doubt. She will be getting the tundra brakes this winter.

    ~5700 lbs the last time I checked it when loaded up for an adventure. I notice it most when trying to stop quickly on pavement. Not as much an issue in normal trail running.

    That was the Hole in the Rock trail near lake Powell. More than a few 'high pucker factor' spots on that trail.

    The man upstairs was looking out! I was ejected after the first roll through the Sunroof. But after a "free" ride to the ER and 4.5 hours of stitches I went home the same day!

    I miss the 1st gen!!!

    Seems like a bad design if 3/4 bolts cant handle the forces.

    Actually, 3 of 4 is enough as long as you don't put additional stresses on the remaining bolts. Monte has driven home (on pavement) hundreds of miles on more than one occasion on just three bolts.

    It is only in off-road applications where the design is inadequate.

    That makes more sense.

    The Tundra brake upgrade is supposed to be a pretty simple and clean deal right? Any need to change booster aftwards?
