I have the old shock out of the my truck and now I cannot figure out how to get the lower part of the new bilstein back into the control arm. It appears to be a little longer. Does anyone know how to achieve this? Or do i need to loosen lower ball joint to fit this in?

I can't figure out how to get this part into the bracket. I called wheelers and they told me to undo the ball joint on the UCA and that should lower everything enough for me to get the bilstein back where it needs to be. Anyone have thoughts or opinions on what i should do?

thanks for the video! Looks like if I just take the spindle off of the UCA, then i should be able to fit the bilstein in place. thanks

You just need to pry the LCA down a bit it looks like. You can probably use a jack to push it down.

Looks like your sway bar is still attached, that needs to be loosened and set aside and you need to loosen your LCA bolts and you should be able to move the LCA down enough for clearance.

I might try to disconnect the spindle from the UCA tomorrow. I know that I have to watch brake lines and such when doing so. I will definitely put a jack under the LCA so everything doesn't just drop. If anyone else has recommendations, that would be great. I'm all ears

Undo the brake lines from the clip on the UCA. Lift up on the center of truck the higher you go the more your lower control will droop. Once it is drooped to appropiate angle. Use jack stands to support the truck and slide in the strut.

Disconnect the swaybar unbolt the brake line should be just one bolt just to move out the way. Then just use a pry bar to lower the lca. No need to remove the spindle
