OK, we get it. You're not convinced, and that's your call.

Kindly just lurk and ask questions instead of picking at everyone's thoughts... I mean really, you're not going to convince someone that already runs OVtune that they wasted their money..

I am not trying to convince anyone of anything. I am having a conversation. I would love to see a proper comparison. I bet the before numbers on that truck would be low as well, since it was a hot day and poor conditions. But we are comparing apples to oranges and getting less than desirable results.

Why not just sit back and wait then? If we're all wrong, then you win and can find another way to enhance your truck.

Look man, I'm not going to argue the point any further other than to say this - the power gains and driveability enhancements already achieved in this tune are light years ahead of stock (from a M/T owner point of view, and I run 1.01b).
If you want to call me out as a liar, then just say so. I'm good with it.

The 1.03 dyno results were MEH though, I will concede that. .. but I don't really think Mat is close to being satisfied with it yet.

    Cheers and happy tuning

If the dyno results or peak gains are the most important factor for someone then the tune isn't going to make you happy.
The 2GR FKS is an Atkinson 3.5 with integrated exhaust cylinder heads. Only so much extra power is in there.

I recommend you DO NOT take Toyotas "HP" for other cars with this engine at face value. The camry tune on the Tacoma does nothing. No magical 25+horsepower.

The focus of our tune is to greatly enhance drivability and response, while making more torque where it is possible.

This isn't the end of the road for the manual transmission version of this truck.

A few people here have compared the Lexus RX350 to the tacoma, or camry to the tacoma. Same engine, tune tested on dyno makes near identical power, but for some reason the Tacoma in stock form simply is not as responsive, not as quick to act, the truck doesn't put the driver in control. That is what we aim to fix.

My god I can't wait for full 1.03 release... The short experience I had with the "A" version felt really good.

Agreed. This is the most improvement I have felt on an NA motor (and I tune everything) by a long shot and I haven't tried 1.03 yet.

I thought I was doing pretty good with keeping up to date on this thread but I must have missed something, did there end up being a problem with 1.03? I kept reading that it was going to be released a couple weeks ago but it never was, and then the other day it was released to just 04B10 trucks. Now I see a post from Mat that a manual transmission ecu has been ordered and 1.03 will be sent out once there is a solution for everyone? It sounds like there must have been an issue but I can't find any other posts that explain what that's about?

The good news is this all came out in the wash before any more trucks had issues (myself and @Ares32 were the only 2, and are both 04B10).

The 1.03 test mule had ECU version 04B12, and that truck has been running well AFAIK. It's possible that 04B11 trucks could have been negatively affected too, so good call by OVtune to stop release and figure out a stable solution for all M/T trucks - upgrade everyone to 04B12!

Stoked to receive 1.03 M/T and give er a rip!

I'd be willing to try out 1.03 on the 04B12 and make sure it isn't buggy. I have no problem clearing fault codes or reflashing back to stock.

This is what I want. I am going to get this (after taxes). IMO it's not the lack of power or torque that is missing from this truck; its delivery of power and lack of response is what makes me hate the truck.

@OVTune, did you make any changes to the throttle opening aggressiveness in this revised version? I'm hoping the update to 04B12 will help, but the original "C" version was twitchy as hell...
