I know a woman who has a bonafide 'comfort dog' certificate, but its about the size of a rat and spends most of the time in a small tote bag.

“Comfort dog” certificates are bullshit. Search for them and you’ll find dozens of sites willing to sell you one for anything furry you want one for. It’s a scammers way to get by pet up charges and shit on real service animals and the people who genuinely need them in their lives.

Yeah, another great company you can put all your trust in.

There has only been a couple of chihuahuas I've come across that I can tolerate.. A snippy yippy little ankle biter dog drives me to unpleasant feelings/thoughts. Can NOT stand hearing that crap or any dog that just barks all the time. Having 24/7 Tinnitus (ringing in my ears) has driven me to sound irritabilities and brink of madness.

Speaking of google being vulnerable... anyone use AirBnB? I was just trying to book an upcoming trip and they want me to upload a photo of my drivers license or passport photo?? With all the hacked places recently, why would anyone give that info away?

Yeah, I call out fake dogs. Did one today in Costco. Did not have a vest, running around on the floor tangling it's leash...

My wife has her service dog.... I scanned letters from three of her doctors stating she would "benefit" from having a service dog because of her panic attacks related to her multiple neck injury's. A letter from the veterinarian she worked for (30 years) stating she was a highly qualified dog trainer and handler. I keep copies of the xrays of her neck and those PDF's on both our iPhones. Never had to show them to a business but have shamed a couple 'loud mouths' with them.

So go forward to last year, we were meeting her brother for dinner out in Palm Springs. We got there first, went in with the dog, no issues. Brother shows up, it took him an hour to realize that the dog was under the table. He is used to her being an in your face, center of attention dog around the house. He pops up with, 'you guys could have stayed with us instead of camping, they let service dogs in our timeshare' - gee, we have told you for years that she had service dogs (3) in 35 years.

Good point. Thought 600 years vs several billion years isn’t exactly a rounding error. :D

Trouble is it’s tough to know what Hawking really said given the crap reporting. Maybe I missed a link to his actual talk.

The beauty of it is, no one will be around when it happens so we'll never know who was right. ;)
