I'll play. I have a 1997 DLX that's pretty basic. Manual trans, manual hubs, Manual locks, maunual windows, manual mirrors, steering tilt, tachometer, 60/40 bench, chrome fender trim (now removed), no abs, no passenger airbag, no low fuel light... very basic. Not sure on the difference between LX and DLX. Mine sounds similar to @RysiuM

My current LX has all of that too, manual front hubs, manual transfer case, manual transmission, 60/40 seats (dumped those). No power locks or windows. Haha it's also a 2.7 but she's good to me.

The 2.7L is bulletproof!

My truck was a gift from my dad 8 years ago, when it was brand new. In 8 years and almost 80K miles, I've had to have the master cylinder replaced (February 2014) and get the A/C recharged (June 2017). I prefer having rollup windows; Less to go wrong!

That's not bad. I've replaced just about everything on my truck because I flipped my old one and swapped everything into this current one. But nothing actually broke on its own haha and that engine is still running in my truck today.

Oh yes, my 95 LX has intermittent wipers. 4 position wiper switch: Off-Int-On-Fast. The Intermittent time slector knob has 4 positions. It also has windshield fluid spray switch (by pulling the lever) but no low fluid level warning light.

Not sure on everything, anyone can feel free to correct me. I have the DLX, so to see another DLX it is useful to compare.
• Manual hubs was standard until 97 i do believe, and then became optional for 98-00. ABS was introduced in the 4x4 with the add hubs
• Power mirrors only came on 01+
• Manual windows and locks are odd, Mine has power
• Passenger airbag was introduced in 98 I do believe
• You had chrome fender flares? Mine had the big ol ones.
• low fuel light I am not sure of
• Not sure why some trucks have 60/40 seats, and some buckets. Mine has buckets, was not super easy finding seat covers as most places only offer 60/40
• Tach I THINK came standard on 6lug manual trans?
• Tilt I THINK came standard on everything but the most best model 5lug
• Do you have Cruise?
• Intermittent wipers?
SR5 used to be the top end trim package and meant you got power windows and a/c (among other fancy-pants stuff), but now it's practically the bottom end, since Toyota doesn't even really offer manual anything anymore (except the rare special order). It's really hard to find a "base" anything these days.
My truck is an 04 SR5 trim with chrome but I’m stuck with manual everything, door locks, windows, mirrors, etc

Haha I always opt to get head units without full screens. I like buttons that just do one thing. But all of my 90s Toyotas have way newer stereos.

The only reason I got a head unit with a full screen is because I wanted the backup camera in the dash.

My truck is a 2010 purchased in September 2009.

I finally got sick of the lackluster "no balls" factory system and bought a complete Pioneer system on Crutchfield in March 2013 (single-DIN CD head unit with 3.5mm AUX, USB, and Bluetooth; component speaker system). Paid a friend to install it in April 2013.

A drunk driver hit me in October 2015 and did almost $3,000 in damage to my truck. He got charged with DUI and lost his license, but despite the fact that he was a repeat offender (he KILLED somebody while driving drunk in the late 1980s), his scumbag insurance company believed him when he said that I ran a stop sign. Luckily, my insurance company saw things my way, ate the cost of fixing my truck, waived the deductible, and didn't raise my rates. I also know a very good lawyer, and I was able to get some restitution money, which I put towards dashcams, a Sony touch-screen head unit, and a backup camera. My neighbor helped me install the Sony and backup camera in September 2016.

Almost immediately, I started having problems with Sony. It would crash and reboot itself at random, it didn't pick up my favorite radio station very good (whereas the Pioneer did great), and it would literally "merge" my iPod playlists together. In the spring of 2017, my friend Dave installed the same Boss GPS head unit in his 2005 Lincoln Town Car and had nothing but good things to say about it.

I called up Crutchfield to see if I could exchange the Sony for the Boss. Believe it or not, the Boss was $30 cheaper than what I paid for the Sony despite having GPS. My replacement plan was expired, but Crutchfield agreed to replace my Sony with the Boss. Even better was the fact that I didn't even have to send the Sony back first and go without a radio! Crutchfield overnighted the Boss to me, the same neighbor helped me install it in May 2017, and I sent the Sony back.
