I've done a lot of IT work in schools and while there are some really smart teachers, there are a lot of them that make you wonder how they ever graduated.

When English teachers don't know the difference between you're and your or their and they're, how can the students be expected to get it?

Or the computer lab where the teacher didn't know how to access Activity Monitor or the Network Utility on her Macs.

I do IT and system installations in schools as well. On one occasion I was asked how to put batteries in a remote control.....by a grade 10 SCIENCE teacher!

Seriously? He's been all over the news lately.

He's that big Hollywood producer who has been bombarded with dozens of sexual abuse allegations these past few weeks.

 

Yeah, but the bad thing is, want to make a guess as to what the teacher who didn't know how to use her Mac was teaching?

She was teaching Mac basics

And these teachers were Einsteins compared to some of the higher ups at government installations I've done.

 

Crossing the street isn't that hard, especially for able body adults at a controlled crossing.

People should also realize you don't need to stand at the curbs edge to cross the street, truck mirrors can take your head clean off.

I see stuff like this too - it made me feel good when the IT guy couldn't get my printer to connect wirelessly to my laptop after I had at least gone through my Google fu regimine and it turned out to be an issue with the cable drop that would let devices access the Internet, but not connect to the printer. Repping special ed teachers baby!
