Love my Revolver X2 too! We usually haul things like this a couple times each month into downtown for craft fairs. It really helps that we can still see out the rear window even though the tonneau is still attached. Plus, once we get there and unload what we need, we can then close/lock it without having to worry about someone taking whatever we left in the truck.

It's hard to see, but even the back seats were full in this trip:

    20171020_112409.jpg

I've really considered getting a shell, but I just don't want to spend that much...plus I still like the looks of a truck without the shell. :)

EDIT: Nice color choice too! :D

Yup, mirrors every reason I went with the Revolver, and I suspect everyone else that gets it. Well, except for hauling craft items into town, but every other reason. :D

Mine was primarily the same thing though. We take vacations down to the beach and normally get there before you can check in to the condo/hotel/beach house. It could be raining, or we could go grab lunch somewhere while we wait. The added security (outta sight, outta mind) removes the stress of worrying.

My previous truck, a 2012 Tundra had an ARE shell. It was great. No complaints at all except when I needed to get in there to organize cargo or try to haul a tree home from the depot. I'm 50/50 on the shell vs a tonneau as far as looks go. I like both. I almost went with one of the Soft Toppers or a Beestop. Then I started reading too many negative posts that sorta struck a nerve with me. There are more positive posts but for me I like a lower average of negative. If something can go wrong with anything then most likely it will be mine it is happening to. So far, other than some dribbles of water getting in from the high pressure car washes, I have not had a single issue. To be fair, the one negative thing I read was that in the winter, if water gets into any of the moving parts it could freeze, but the amount of water I've seen has been negligible. Oh, and you have to remove the snow from them to roll them up. I haul trash throughout the winter so I will touch back to let you all know how it goes. I have a snow broom to remove snow from the room so I suspect it will work just as good on the cover. It hold 400 lbs (distributed) so I am not worried about that either.

No issues installing? Meaning wrinkling.... Did you remove the lamps first?

took out the passenger seat this morning for the 2 year old dog because the new 3 month old baby took up his back row.

No issues at all. I romoved the lamps to make it that much easier. The film is a rubber based film so even with the curveature of the fog lamps, it was albe to go on smooth

Heat wasn’t needed. The creases worked out very easily with the pressure of your thumb.

Ahh, cool. I think I will try this myself then. I Like the yellow fog look, just not ready for the cost of converting to the others. Plus, I am happy with the light output of the 2017 for on road use. If I went off road then I am sure I would feel different about it.

I bought a TRD Pro Grille made in China on Ebay on 10.27.17.

I received it on 11.07.17. It was a dead ringer for a factory grille.

It is the same grille offered for $250 on the TW thread titled, Faux TRD Pro Grilles $250.

I paid $198.99, with no additional shipping charges or taxes. Vendor was Recamera.

I posted this same information on 11.08.17 on the TW thread I referenced above and TW pulled my post.

The same China TRD Pro Grille is offered on Ebay today by the vendor "motorfansclub" for $140 including shipping charges and free of taxes. It is the same grille I ordered from the vendor Recamera.

I am guessing the one on TW offered by the vendor for $250 as well as all the ones from China are exactly the same and made by the same plastics/molding plant. Wholesale cost to vendors is probably $50.

I could not be more pleased with mine (unless I would have bought it for $140 today!).
