Yeah, I made the pre-order when it was announced, got the Scorpio Edition. I know that feeling, I just upgraded my TV to get the 4k. It was a long time coming upgrade; hurts the wallet now but it'll recover. I have to say while the 4k is amazing to have and use; the load times and processing power I think is what makes the One X shine.

I have no shame in saying what I am about to say.

The girl that I was helping this summer by cutting her grass, her husband runs the local jiffy lube. Not sure if I said that before or not.

I needed an oil change and haven't had a chance to install the fumoto valve that I picked up. So I decided to go get the oil changed there since I'm out of free oil changes at the dealership. Well, her husband installed the valve for me, and did the oil change himself. And, to top it off, he paid for it. Wow. Definitely wasn't expecting that. I don't like people doing things like that when it involves their jobs. Don't want people to get in trouble, regardless if they run the place or not.

Fumoto valves are awesome. Coupled with the top mounted oil filter on my FJ it makes oil changes a breeze. Not like the wife's T4R with it's damn oil filter cartilage under 12 layers of skid plates, pop clips and other bullshit

Sooo umm yall know that bracket that attaches to the UCA and holds a wire, what is it? ABS? Speed sensor? Anyway on the passenger side it keeps falling out of the bracket. And on the driver side it is pretty tight. Any ideas? do they make extensions? should I modify the bracket?

For the abs sensor in the hub. Unless you're running long travel you shouldn't need an extension. They do make extensions for LT setups.

What suspension are you running? For standard/ mid travel type lifts you shouldn't need to extend it. There should be enough slack so there's no pull on the sensor St full droop.

Toyota is dropping the 5-speed manual in the 4 cyl Tacomas in 2018. Only the 6 speed auto will be available. Not good. Only the 6MT will be available on TRD Sport, TRD Off Road DCSB, and TRD PRO DCSB. We really are getting to the point where manuals are being killed off, or you have to pay a premium for one. :(

Oh..... They are adding their Safety sense bullshit to all models as well. With auto braking, lane watch, etc etc.

I saw a thread earlier where someone was saying a dealer tech said if you lift the new trucks it throws all the Toyota Safety Sense shit out of whack and is basically useless.

It was posted in 3rd gen forum, so take it with a grain of salt.

I had to zip tie mine when I had total chaos uca. You shouldn’t need to extend the wire.

Sad, isn't it... I believe the Tacoma, Frontier and the Ram 2500 diesel are the only trucks left with a manual tranny option these days.

which remind me, has anybody reset their VSC after lift/tires? mine seems to want to kill me sometimes in tight corners or hard braking.

Could be the "Sway Warning System"

The next-generation Toyota Tacoma enters its third year with a safety enhancement: all 2018 Tacoma models gain Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P). This equips the Tacoma with Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Sway Warning System (SWS), Automatic High Beams (AHB) and High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). Toyota leads the auto industry in making automatic emergency braking systems standard on most of its vehicles.

The current 2WD 4cyl colorado had a manual, but I'm not sure anymore.

Could also be the radar cruise control if there is a senor that is supposed to read at a certain distance/angle, it could throw that off too

I'm torn even on backup cameras haha. I like mine and use it, but don't rely on it. Yesterday at work I was walking through our garage and watched someone back into a spot only looking at their backup camera. He took his side mirror clean off on a pillar.
