I did it all at once. I definitely think it made a difference though. Especially with the floor and road nose, and the roof when it's raining!

I didn't do a write up but would be happy to explain it! I love having the piece of mind of a dash cam, epecially a 24/7 one. Just text before you call to make sure I'm free. I'll be traveling Tuesday so I won't really be free that day.

Ya, I will definitely text you before I call. Compared to other projects weve done(overhead compass, hilux, remote starter, clock etc) how difficult would you rate this project?

It's probably the same level as the clock. Just two connections to hard wire it and then run the wires. Would you want to do the black vue battery system? It allows the camera to run 24/7 without draining the battery.

At a minimum I would like it too go on and off with the truck. If the battery allows for constant recording and it's not that difficult to add on then I'm probably down. Unless it over complicates things and is expensive.

So this is the battery unit I used. Not terribly expensive and well worth it in my opinion. Installation will really be the same either way. You'll need ground and switched 12v power. It will either go to your camera power or to the battery pack. If you install the battery pack then you'll just run the camera power from that to your camera. How the battery works is when your truck is on the car battery powers your camera and charges the battery. Once you shut off your truck the battery pack stops charging and sends all the power it has stored to your camera. The website says it supplies power for up to 8 hours but I've definitely parked my truck at 8 pm and started it the next morning at 9am and the camera was still on the whole night. And the battery pack still had 20% left.

I've been slacking on my build thread lately, but I have been pretty busy with some big time mods. Projectors and morimoto xb led fog lights!

Shit I'm jealous of your lifted Taco! Can't wait to get mine a little higher in the air. I picked up some dakar leafs from a local member a few weeks ago. Now I just need to get about $1200 worth of everything else and install it. Shipping to Alaska is rough hahaha
