Sold these to fund my Jeep, then bought the Taco anyway after building the Jeep. Does that count?

The GPz only had ~24k miles on it, dyno'd 130rwhp. Factory fuel injected. Never should've sold it.

2012 Jeep Patriot....Everyone always trash talks them, but it was pretty tolerable with the 5 speed. I’d probably still have it if it hadn’t been for needing just a little more towing capacity.

I really wanted to love this. So much potential. So much went wrong though.

Haha. I had it through my high school years and I can agree with you, I beat the hell out of that thing and it still ran like a champ.

Oh man. I used to have a 2013 VW Jetta TDI. I bought it brand new and it had 18 miles on it when I took it for a test drive. I traded in my 2007 JCW Mini Cooper for the jetta (I miss both cars) and got $12k out of the mini. Well 3 years later and almost 50,000mi VW comes out with a huge diesel scandal and offered to buy all their diesels back. I decided to look into it. They offered me $22,306.xx I only paid $24K so I said "Hell yeah!" Thats when I found Trouble The Tacoma. I took my truck for a test drive and noted it's great value, then left the dealership to go test drive more trucks. Immediately I had a pit in my stomach and went back to purchase my truck. I wanted to get plates that said "TDIMNY" but I opted for "TRUBL3" instead. The attached photo of the jetta was after a long camping trip in Dallas right after a big Texas "snow." The mini was a lot of fun. I traded in the mini to get the jetta and the jetta to get the truck. Mini was a blast, surprisingly fast. I used to walk down more impressive cars with 100hp over me, I miss that car every day, It was just too expensive to maintain for a poor college kid when I had it. The jetta was in a league of its own. Peppy with the diesel, but also got 65mpg (which I still miss everyday). I wanted to take the $5k option from VW to keep the jetta and "fix" it, then re-tune it to be a coal rolling monster with 400+ftlb of torque... but I learned with the mini that you can't really have a race car and a daily car be the same car unless it's a Porsche.

Oh well... I love the truck and the stability it gives me. I love I can fit all my friends "comfortably" and go camping with the Mrs and the dog and not worry about getting stuck or it getting scratched or dirty. Plus I had the option to "buy up" and get something that will hold its value over time so I did. One day I'll get another race car... one day.
