What do y'all think is proportional for the big 3?
Obviously a 100# bench with a 800 squat and 200 dead would be way outta whack. So what do you feel the numbers should be? For the sake of argument, let's stick with a person with a 100# bench.
I'd say a 150# squat and 175# dl.

 

Isn’t there some unwritten bro code that says 2x bodyweight on Bench and 3x for squat and deads or maybe 1.5 on Bench

 

I’d say that sounds about proportional.

Deadlift being 100%, about 85% for squat and 60% on bench.

 

Well...I pulled on an actual platform with a real deadlift bar tonight. Warmed up for a few sets then hit:

315 for 2 sets of 4, 365x1, 405x1, failed 435 twice. Had it to my knees and couldn’t shoot my hips. He gave me a hit of ammonia on the second attempt and I was much closer, but no cigar. Probably because of the failed original attempt.

Then we did 4” block pulls
315x4x4
365x3x3

My lower back is soooo tight. Gonna start going to that gym to pull heavy. The owner is going to let me train there for free for a while in hopes that I’ll join and start competing with some of the folks there.

I want 1.5 bench, x2 skwats, x3 deadlift. Or my goals would be more like 315, 405, 600. But I'm a long way off on skwats and deads. I'm about 65 lbs from my bench goal.

 

This is what I’ve though and am aiming for by Feb. doubt squat will get there but hopeful for
bench and deads

 

Started my cut what 7 weeks ago?

Started at 175. I am now down to.... drum roll.

Fuck this. I'm going back to bulking. Pissed away that much time when I could be adding to my lifts.

Will try to be more dedicated on my cut next year.

 

3x bw for deads sounds like alot no? Me at 250#s would have to pull 750#s then. I'm not gonna get that anytime soon lol

 

LOL well you could In like maybe 10 years. I would like to pull 400 right now then maybe get to around 600 in A few years.

 

I only have to get 480. Lol. Hoping for that by middle of next year.

 

Got some over ear bt headphones. Looking like a douche has never been more comfortable.

 

Totally worth it. Some folks I know make fun of me all the time. I don’t really care. The sound is so much better and I can’t hear all the douches at the gym.

 

No one wants to talk about the elephant in the room? For a big buff bronco I wouldn't be working on getting big #'s on deadlifts as I would be on adding some muscle to those skinny legs!

Think Frank Zane gave a shiznit of 700lb? You're lil twerp azz will never do it either but at least you'll semi-look like you can lift moderate weight

New DL PR attempt. 360. Went up slow but I got it. Belted, hook grip.
I was gonna use straps but they felt so weird. I haven't used them in months and I gueaa ive gotten used to hook grip. Feels good. Creeping up on 400 slowly.
