I've had good luck on CL, you juat have to know how to search, know what you want, move quickly when you find it and have a little patients and a fair amount of luck.

My current wheel and tire set up SCS Stealth6 17x8.5, used, mounted once then removed less than 100miles on them, came in mint shape with boxes and all, and my tires 285/70/17 BFG KO2's brand new never mounted made in Jan of 2017 I got both from CL for less than the wheels shipped would have cost me alone.

For what its worth I got Falkens in a standard load for my pavement princess. They are a little louder than the oem tire and have really nice ride at 34 psi. These are hard to be for the price.

Not the best picture but the best I have now.

I have 265/75R16 Toyo Open Country MT's on mine in E load range. Albeit the mileage went down due to such a big difference in tire weight I love the way they look.

A lot of guys use the KO2's (I think that the Goodyear AT) and in Florida there's a lot of nasty areas where I feel MTs excel. They are a little loud on the highway but after a few moments I stop noticing it.

As others have said tires you don't want to go cheap on. I know Toyo's have lasted for years for some people I've known which is why I went with them over the Pro Comp MT2 which is the exact same tread pattern.

I love my Toyo MTs! I love how they do off road, love the noise, and love how smooth they are on the road. But yes, fuel economy tanked even more.

I know nothing honestly of how tires are made and what exactly ply differences are (strength?) but I would love to see these come in a C Load range for these sizes.

I think the popularity of the KO2's are because alot of other TW users are from these weird places where the weather is cold and MT's do not perform well in cold climate on the road. (Thats what someone here told me when I asked why only AT tires)

I don’t really either, i think it means that more plys more puncture proof and heavier, and obviously can carry more weight. Ive had KO2s, ST maxx, both E rated, good grip on and off road, just vibes that come and go and I couldn’t get rid of.

It's my understanding that it comes down to the amount of sipping the tire has. Most M/Ts don't have a lot of sipping if any on the tread lugs so they don't do well on ice. However, an M/T like Interco's Trxus M/T has a lot of sipping and has a great rep for winter road performance. I had a set on my F250 and can attest to the fact that they rode very smooth on the road. I only ever wheeled them in sand and only to knock the rust off my ring gear, so I can't really say how well they did off-road. They lasted 9 years though before they dry-rotted and started to separate. The down side there is they only had about 10k miles on them and were nearly down to the wear bars by the time that happened. Of course, they were on a 7500 lb truck, so they'd probably last a bit longer on a Taco, but probably not much more than 25-30K and they are stupid expensive.

Could someone please recommend a shop near Orlando prefered that will give me an "Offroad alignment"? I've taken it into a place that does good work twice now, but regardless of what I tell the tech he keeps setting it to stock rather than 3 degrees caster zero camber 0 toe. My truck is on 285 75 17 and Bilstein 5100 with 887 with a 2-inch add a leaf in the rear so 3" lift/level on 33's. Currently pulls right and rubs the left sidecab mount at full left lock.

    Thanks in advance!
