    I did the deck plate mod today and used sensor safe silicon but when i went to start the truck i got code p0171. Never seen that one before could the deckplate have something to do with it?

    getting there....
    make sure the maf sensor is snapped in all the way. and if you did the install, and started the truck right up........a cel is possible. the silicone needs to dry for a lil while before starting the truck up. disconnect the neg. cable and let it sit for a few minutes to reset the light.

    I dont guess it would hurt anything to clean the maf while im at it would it?

    nah......but be sure to use some cleaner made for that purpose....no brake cleaner. an electrical contact cleaner will work too.:)

    i just replaced my fuel filter last fall so i dont think i would be that. ive read it could be anything from a vaccum leak to a bad ecm. Real specific huh?
