TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Look at my picture from earlier. One came off easy. The others didnt

 

Scott said the TRD and Bully Dog flashes limit what the UCON can do. I had TRD and it ran like shit. Stock ECU is where its at. Fixed all my issues.

 

44k on the truck. Plugs are whichever one maggie gives you with the blower install kit.

Try this...

Pry up the back side of the UCON from ECU so the velcro is not longer holding it. Put a sheet of paper in between the UCON and the ECU so the velcro won't re-grab. That'll allow you to get some slack on the connector so you can get it loose.

 

Stock pulley.

You might need an extra set of hands to hold the UCON at an angle so there is no tension on the ribbon cable.

Not hating, just never would have expected that price. I've spent over $10,000 on mods for my truck and I'm not even close to done. I'm in no way judging you on a $400 purchase.

Paper didnt work. Letting the wd sit for a minute while I try to get someone to help me. Problem is everyone in this house is fed up with helping me w/truck

I had a little trouble when I swapped ECUs too, but it sounds like yours is just trolling you. Do you have an appointment with Scott to change the tune? It's going to need the tune for the stock flash.

 

That's odd. I'm gonna rule out tensioner for sure, and plugs, and pulley causing the issues.

Maybe it is a shit tune indeed. When did this start again?

The first time I drove it with the blower on. From day 1 its been knocking like a motherfucker.
