Really that's your example a 57 Chevy, generally considered one of the best looking cars ever and it's 4 eyed younger brother the 58?

Don't worry. Average time a Tacoma is on the lot is 16 days now. Shortest of any vehicle from any manufacturer. If you don't buy it when you go drive it somebody else will soon. Dealers do that crap on slower moving inventory.

You think the '58 looks better?

Me neither. It's why I used it as a sample of a bad automotive facelift.

My bad, I read that as the 58 was an improvement over the 57. No I absolutely agree the 57 looks better

I hope the OP is happy with his decision to get a Tundra, this forum is funny sometimes, people tell owners that life is too short and they should dump the Tacoma if they don't like it but then get all offended when they do, go figure.

I traded an '11 Tundra for my '17 Tacoma. I'd traded an '08 Taco for the Tundra. So I've done both. I hope you enjoy the bigger truck. I found mine great in many ways, aggravating in others. I'm much happier with the 3rd Gen Tacoma, but I don't need a big truck anymore. It served me well for a few years, but I am not sorry it is gone and am delighted with the new Taco.

I will say that the 3rd gen has a nicer looking rear. If I was willing to drop the bucks, I'd have a 3rd gen tailgate grafted into my 2nd gen and have the best of both ends.

Hmm. Most comments I read just said goodbye. Don't think anyone said he was crazy for getting rid of it. I could have missed one though...

Don't see that here. That "life's too short, trade it" comment is usually for people who are unhappy but not doing anything about it.

Props to OP @Datamulch and good luck with the new ride.

True. "Mini-facelift" then. The grille and LED headlights specifically imo.

LOL yeah I like the single headlight.
