I replaced my inner rods and noticed play like that but haven't had any issues with it

Stopped by Advanced Fiberglass Concepts today and spoke with the owner, a young guy named John - I was impressed with how he was running the company and a full time college student. Now I just need some suspension arms to fill in this gap.

I’m pretty sure it’s tims son. It’s the new glassworks unlimited if I’m not mistaken? They have many of those molds I believe.

I think you're right about him being Tim's son. Almost all of them, but not all of them - for instance no 96-00 hood mold otherwise I would have bought one.

Yeah the teeth on the rack look ok, I might check the guide to see what kind of shape it's in.

I think this may be the issue, or the bushing needs to be replaced. I believe it's a bushing, the roller was the older style right? I need to get the bigass hex bit to fit the guide plug first. Anyone know what size it is off-hand?

Yeah I can't imagine it changes steering input very much, probably just not very good for the teeth on the rack.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Load capability, I didn't take it into account when testing the two alts against each other. The small taco one is dropping to 14.2 and never goes lower with all the shit on. That's normal, the big one (twice as big at 120 amps) is starting at 14.7 and dropping to 13.8 and is unstable when the engine is revved or the rpm drops. Whereas the stock unit is stable. My aftermarket larger alt doesn't take input from the ECU it is 100% stand alone, so most likely it's internals are not happy, it was a used item so I'll have it refurbed locally.

Got to try out the new lifts me and my dad installed at my house. Replaced both catalytic converters in this piece of shet of a Nissan. It was a breeze though :militarypress:

I replaced the driver's side front half axle, lower ball joint, sway bar link and outer tie rod. (I did the passenger side a couple of weekends ago along with the sway bar bushings.)

Anyone even know why east coast went to salt on roads as opposed to sand or gravel like in NW?

Was taking off my oem skid plate today because it's been making a terrible noise whenever I have a passenger (skid plate is bent to shit) while I was down there I noticed a very large amount of grease on my passenger side LCA. It appears to be from my cv axle, but the boot doesn't look torn at all. Is my cv most likely toast or can I just regrease it some how? I can pick up a carquest branded cv from advance auto for 60 bucks, but I'm broke and don't have time to change it out.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

More grab on the clutch. Stock is 1200 I believe. So it would just grab harder.

I think mine is 1600. No problems.

How much if a difference did it make? I'm thinking if doing this next weekend to my double cab. Figure at 200k+ it's time

Thanks, I didn't know that. Ya, the rock is annoying when the ice / snow is gone.

I know this isn’t the right answer buuuut,

My cv boot has been cut/ open for almost a year. Doesn’t make any noises YET and I use 4 wheel drive fairly often. I haven’t fixed cause I haven’t wanted to spend money on it yet. So I would say you could go for awhile without replacing it, it’s isn’t recommended but I could.

Unless that’s where the squeak is coming from, then I’d probably change it.

Even in Seattle they started using chemicals (perhaps Magnesium sulfide), after the snowmagedden back in ~2008 when everyone complained that the sand didn't work well enough (I wish they'd stayed sand).
