Although LA is playing well, the last three games has been alarming with 8 goals allowed in the first period(s) alone!

Peter Budaj's return was a success. The shots on goal really isn't the problem but giving up almost twice as many certainly should be looked at.

The next three games will be a good litmus test as LA has beaten them all this year, including that less than a second one-timer over the broken B's. You just know they want some pay-back. First up though is the northern fishsticks on the 12th.

Go Sens! Great OT win last night in Sweden.

Seems Vegas is for real. They put a formidable team together that is meshing together surprisingly well.

Meanwhile fellow desert club Arizona went the opposite direction. Talk about no talent.

 

I find that Vegas got a pretty unreal deal.

What I mean by that is they got pretty much everything given to them on a silver platter, whereas the other expansion teams have all had to work from the ground up. I mean look at regular expansion team records, it goes to show you how stacked Vegas is. Add to that they have tons of picks next year.

I'm happy for them, but just cant give full credits and find it unfair to the other expansion teams through the years. Just my opinion.

 

Well they got most of their draft picks because they didn't choose the best available player from teams.

 

They did something right. What rule changes or differences did they do, that past expansion teams couldn't?

They probably received a fair deal for 500 million. The league couldn't ask for that much and give the new team total garbage.

Yup. Then they burned their number 1 pick on Daigle and even tried to rig the Calder voting for him to try to make him into something he wasn't. I'm not going to lie, those were just more fun times to be a Leafs fan.

 

Still one of the biggest busts in drafting history. Oh what could have been.

 

Finally a couple decent games for the Wild, although Zucker is the only one to have scored in the past three games. Six goals though.

Plus two shut outs in a row for Dubnyk.

 

2 games, 2 wins without Matthews and a long break now to let him heal.

 

Anybody that wasn't officially protected by the rules was able to be protected with a player + draft pick basically.

True. I was just counting the Bruins games for some odd reason, probably because I was hoping for at least 3 points out of those games.
