Keeping recovery items...not worth it to swap bumpers and bedsides so probably just downsizing tires. Selling the skids and swapping to AL IFS

Thats how i ended up getting my pizza cutters. Original owner didnt like how the tranny reacted to the taller tires. He went back to 265s within 5000 miles and i scooped up the wheels and tires he sold off.
    1. I agree. Matt, if you wanna take the wrx for a spin (and know manual) youre welcome to :stirthepot:

    2. If the skinny pedal and the supercharger cant get you out, calebs prius can pull you out

I miss manual. I was looking at getting a beater in manual. Whatever the DD car will be, it has to be manual.

I was asking Matt who will get me out of the snow, because Matt was the first influence to make me lift the truck. Or because I didnt know anything about its features

Oh I remember that. It was the 3' snow we got a couple years ago. I sat home all weekend digging out all my neighbors with my snowblower. Paid for itself in that one snow. And i didnt get one tip, either.

I still have mine, it is in her sisters garage currently. Maybe I'll have a chance to get it back, but no need for it where I am at now, and nowhere to store it. It sure was a lifesaver, not only for me, but lots of neighbors. The only time I used it was in that monster snow storm that I can remember.

Yup, only ordered it on the 7th. That's why I always recommend @Pelfreybilt to everyone.

Weight advertised is 26# but it is just stupid light, I'd estimate it high teens to 20#.

    I like em bare :hungry:
It looked painted/powdercoated to me. I guess the lighting doesn't show the surface well. So you probably shaved about 50# on just the IFS, plus whatever the tranny and tcase skids weighed.

Yup, it was overcast when I took the picture.

Saved probably 50# on the IFS then the ~30# for the tranny skid and maybe ~50# for the tcase skid.

I only ever had the ATO 1/4" IFS. Heavy as hell. You might get a mpg back after that weight shedding.

When I went back to stock I couldn't believe how much my mpgs shot up. I didn't get a good chance to test with/after supercharger to see what that would do to mpgs, I sold the truck sooner than expected.
