There you go. Use the Canon and even if you use a lapel mic that plugs into the camera you will get excellent audio. Even a shotgun mic on the camera may work well enough.

 

He went down to florida yesterday so he couldnt help me (i had chicken from the last vid i need to use this weekend so time was a big factor) but hopefully we can get rolling this week on some better quality stuff

 

Next thing would be to get some lights for your video's. Look on craigslist for the people selling some labeled as photo lights that have the soft boxes with them. They suck for photography but are great for video. I've seen them go for as little as $45-50 around here. Don't buy new one's because that's just a waste of money for those.

@yota243 The light sets that have the silver umbrella's would work also. Just make sure they are a continuous light source for the lights with them. I tried to find an example on craigslist but no joy right now.

I have set of silver umbrellas, with the silver part removable for shoot through white. I’m using them for still photos, with my dual flash set up. They were cheap, but work well. I think I got both umbrellas with stands for like $60 from the local shop.
