I'm on the tree crew for Sussex county. So far other than the normal nails and fence wire I've found a steel pipe, a concrete post, and a brick deep inside of trees, deep enough that there weren't any signs of them being in there

In anticipation of putting the lift on, I wanna get a grasp of what to expect. Are there any odd tools I will need to get my hands on? Spring compressor or other such odd stuff? Also, what is the best approach? Should I do the front first or rear, or will it not make a difference either way? What order should I take out/put parts in?
Any advice, be it seemingly obvious or unexpected, is welcome.

Yeah. Kind of funny actually but wasn’t at the time. Turns out I️ have carpal tunneL in the one arm. I’ve been sick all week and have an ear infection now so my balance was off apparently. My carpal tunnel happened to go numb at the exact time I was losing consciousness. There’s more to it but that’s the nutshell version. Yeah I’m okay. Thanks for asking

What are the chances of that happening at the same time. I don't blame you for wondering wtf is going on. But glad to see you're alright. Any sort of lose of consciousness is scary shit.

Unfortunately I do. The crazy part was my whole arm went warm/numb right when I was starting to pass out. Like nothing I've ever experienced. And I'm only 36..

I think @diabetik81 sits in hotel rooms and watches porn.

    Hence the carpal tunnel...

    ... and the dizziness.

PB Blast everything. Have a plumbing torch handy for the extra stubborn stuff. I have lots of 6mm and 8mm grade 10.9 bolts to replace ones that twist off and never-seize. Any bolts that go through bushing sleeves may be a lost cause too. I order whatever I think might fail ahead of time.
I'd do the rear, then front and get a good alignment (once). I was happy I went with the LR UCAs originally because 2 out of 4 alignment bolts were frozen.
Not sure how well off you are with tools. I always use a lot of unforeseen tools that are never a part of the tutorial tool inventories people have in their write-ups, but I've been building my collection for over 20 years... not missing much at this point.
Big jack stands, little ones and a couple jacks. Air or electric impacts help tremendously.

This impact is a pretty awesome deal. Comes with battery and charger for $160.

Are you doing this solo Mike? Pry bars help a ton to get the lca down to get the bottom bolts of the shock lined up. Also ratcheting wrenches for sure on the top hat nuts.

Mike - if you need any tools, you can grab whatever I have. Sometimes I have 2 or more of the same :)

I think you're NNJ, so you're not too far from me.

You can borrow my Dewalt 1/2" impact, jack stands, torch, angle grinder, breaker bars, torque wrenches, creeper, etc. Just ask. I might have it.

Also, When I ordered UCA upper bolts for my 2nd gen (while my truck was already apart), I had a friend pick them up at the dealership.
When I opened up the package at home, they were the shorter bolts for 1st gens (please confirm P/N from pic.) You're welcome to have them if you need them.
