A balmy 32 here, but I got to sleep in this morning. Don’t need to leave for deer until 4:30. Had to leave at 1:30 yesterday morning for ducks!

Good luck in openers today and let’s see some pics!

here's my little buck. Should be good eating. Minus the front leg meat that I ruined, that's the exit wound. The snow made it easy to drag him downhill to my dad's property.

Dad went to my stand yesterday and today in hopes of the big buck coming back. Saw 7 yesterday, 2 spikes, and 13 today. He said he had 2 bucks grunting on opposite sides of him, and one was starting to run does.

Luckily I have this whole week off, so if they’re gonna run, I’ll be there.

Well, opening day was a bunch of OK 8s and a funky 10. Had 12 deer in front of me for the last hour of light. Watched a young 8 (120 class) chase does around in circles that whole time but no big bruiser came in to beat him up. Out again this evening.

Not one of the big ones that I've been chasing, but was an awesome morning nonetheless!

Went this morning. Not a thing. Just got rained on for 4 hours. Went back this evening...not a thing. I’ll be back in the stand at 6 am tomorrow. Supposed to get a little chillier tonight so I’m hoping they’ll be moving like they did Saturday found a few more fresh rubs so they’re still marking and starting to run a little. Hope to have pics this week sometime.
