    This look like my kinda thread! Im new to TW, new to my own Tacoma. But ive been camping up in the Bowman/Sawmill/Faucherie lake areas for the past decade. Used to take my work Taco ('15 prerunner) up there, but now i got my own to play in.

    National forest gun laws are still friendly in CA, so we bring up lots of gear and get some good drills in. Nothing like ringing steel at a couple hundred yards on a crisp sierra morning! Not to mention some native trout for breakfast.

    Hoping to jump into some of these trips this winter, depending on the snow levels lol
    Anyone got anything going for the week between Christmas and New years? The forests should be pretty empty that week, maybe full of snow.

    Yeah, been doing them.areas for a couple of decades myself, especially when they go into fire restrictions.
    As far as finding them native trout, not so plentiful for awhile.

    Took a trip up there last november, camped in a couple of feet of snow for the first time, shit was amazing. Wanting to do it again this year, although without a winch and a mostly stock taco, im cautious.

    Spring time is good for the fish up there, I try to get up there every year as the snow is melting, preferably during a nasty storm (love camping in the rain). I'd say we usually get at least a couple keepers a day for food, toss the rest back to keep the life cycle going.
