Little update on the KM2s- I've now been wheeling on these in Colorado and KY a few times and haven't had issues at normal air pressures. I did notice that at full stuff with my wheel locked on a trail the other day, I got what felt like the tiniest bit of rub aired down to 20 psi, and I'm not even convinced that was rub and not just me kicking off a rock or something. Didn't happen again in a weekend of wheeling on some rocky hills. Good tire, good size, still happy!

How in the hell are you guys not rubbing without cutting? I've got an aftermarket suspension, skids and just bought a set of 255/85R16 and I rub in the same spot that Jedi5150 was. Trimming my stuff tonight. Maybe I need to think about getting 700# coilovers? Supposed to hit the desert next weekend and I'd like to have my shit kinda together...20171030_093506.jpg

What wheels? Any spacers? What's your alignment like?

Maybe the weight from the skids is pulling you down?

Usually it's higher in the front and lower in the back. Did you get those mixed up?

Stock wheels, no spacers. Alignment specs are as follows. I'm not an alignment guy, so I have only a rudimentary understanding of what these numbers mean. Thanks for the quick response!

Alignment looks pretty good, likely just the added weight

I'm really not sure then. Are you only rubbing the plastic? That's an easy fix with a fresh razor blade.

As far as the skids pulling you down, that isn't an issue. When the wheel gets pushed upwards into the wheel well, extra weight and lift has nothing to do with whether you rub or not. If everyone is able to run these on stock suspension, and not rub while turning and hitting bumps, then you should be in the same boat regardless of extras.

My guess is SOMETHING with your alignment is the culprit, but I'm not savvy enough to know.

I figured it out! I'm an IDIOT! After looking closer, I noticed that i only had about 1.25" showing between the adjustment ring and top of my coil over. I jacked up the front of the truck, cranked on the ring till I had about 1.75" showing and ended up with another inch of lift. No clearance issues now and still have 3/8 of adjustment before I exceed the recommended preload!

Note to self: Don't let the "Pros" do the same half assed job you could have done yourself!

ran these on my 05 with OME lift and absolutely loved them. My question is would it work on my 16 SR5? Not sure if stock height is the same on both

I think somewhere up in the thread someone was trying to get them on an SR5 and I think he ran into some issues. I believe the SR5 sits a bit lower than the OR. Not 100% on that though, as I only own one.

there is a guy running then on a 16 limited. The limited has the same suspension, I haven't tried 255/85's yet but according to all the measurements I'v taken it should fit.

I double checked the back spacing is the same on all the stock 16" rim options

I know this thread is (mainly) about putting 255/85/16s on stock OR wheels and suspension (I read all 31 pages ;)) but I wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience with running 255/80/17s on SCS Ray10's? They are 17x8.5, BS 4.30", Offset -10mm. I can only imagine that they will rub but wanted to check due to them sticking out a lot further. Or would I have to settle for 255/75/17? Appreciate the input.
