But the red thingy is at 16" centers.

 

And the black diamond is every 19.2”, I’m so confused.

Omg, he just texted me with another question about where to put his layout line. “ hook your tape on the outside of the top plate, now mark 23 1/4, 47 1/4 etc. , you want the edge of an 8’ piece of plywood to fall on the center of the rafter”. “Why?”
