    285/75 is for a 16" rim. I think 285/70 is the 17" counterpart.

Edit: Wow, looks like they do make 285/75/17. Learn something every day!

285/75/17s are 34"s. You're going to have to do a lot of modifications to fit that. 285/70/17s are the 33"s. Depending on the offset of your wheels, could get away with just some minor trimming of the mud flap or a CMC. You will need to push your caster forward though for clearance in the back.

Alternatively you could just run a 255/85 and put the wheel basically wherever you want, positive offset, negative offset doesnt really matter anymore with a tire that skinny. With only 230ish wheel HP to play with and a bleak outlook on power adders for the future I'm not too worried about getting any more traction then I've got

I ran 255/85s before my 285/70/17s. They were great, no rubbing and mpgs didn't seem to change. Honestly with the 285s I really felt no loss in power, maybe saw a drop of 1mpg overall. Then again, I have no weight on the truck aside from sliders. Don't plan on regearing at all at this point.

Did you go mudding with both setups? What I want to know is, I figure that flotation would be the biggest detriment to running the 255/85, did you find that your truck had problems mudding with this size or is it not as much of an issue losing 20mm of tire as I am thinking? I don't do a whole lot of mudding by choice, but it would be nice to be able to truck through it when I do come up to a big mud hole, and I do do a lot of driving over sand and stuff being from VB and living near OBX

Didn't encounter any mud; was up in the mountains wheeling in the middle of the dry season over here. Not a big fan of mud and try to avoid it if possible. I did get the 285s with going to the beach and/or the dunes in mind as well though.

    This is Tacoma perfection...well done.

What's the tire, wheel and lift set up? Your tire stance is legit.
