Burned a bunch of brush/slash last night that I had piled up from my tree work this summer. Didn't even get through all of it, but I completely filled my burn pan (a 300 gallon horizontal oil tank) with hot coals. The pictures don't show it because I could only get my camera to pick up the brighter coals/flames, but the whole damn thing was glowing cherry red. Stopped feeding it around 7 last night and let it die down, but it still had probably 16-18 inches of hot coals glowing along this morning. Stirred them around some to help the air get to them, but I'm betting that if I gave it a stir and threw some wood wood in there I get home tonight, it'd burst back into flames.

Don't need power windows, either, but it doesn't mean that they aren't convenient. :notsure:

I can hook the Dodge up to the boat trailer almost as quickly as the Ford, but the backup camera in the Ford makes it a lot easier. No guess and check involved

My father disconnected the camera when I was learning to drive on my 07 Taco. Not that I needed to parallel park much in the mountains of CO. Now I use mine daily, mostly because my landlord won't repaint the lines in the lot and you can't see anything without the camera.

I'm worried about getting a prerunner style tailgate because I'll lose the camera. I'll need to figure out where to move it to. Hmm.

Did you at least cook a steak on it or something?

A burger. Wrapped it in tin foil with an onion and leaned it up against the side of the pan (the outside). I thought about putting a dutch oven of beanhole-style baked beans into it before I left for work this morning, but it was still too hot. I'd have had nothing left but charcoal in the oven by the time I got home tonight

No camera or backup sensors. I have a 2014 XLT, but there are so many variations in each model line - what is included or excluded does not seem to make sense. The backup sensors would be nice, but I can just use other cars bumpers or walls to determine when I have gone too far.

More specifics... new or used? Boat specific or can you get away with a utility trailer? In other words, does your cousin want the ability to launch and retrieve like a big boat by backing directly into the water or can he get by with just backing to the waters edge and man handling from there? If we are talking new you can probably get the smallest YachtClub boat trailer that may need some tweeking for a kayak for around $800 complete. If a utility will do, a Harbor Freight special will probably be like $500 new.

I finally was able to get a photo of the result of all @mach1man001 Robs handiwork! Thanks again Rob for all your help and time ....and beers.
We added the craddles to allow the leaf to droop more without the air bags acting as a tether. Also if you look at the leaf pack what you see is a TSB 4leaf pack plus two Tundra leafs Rob and I cut down to fit with the pack.
So far it's working out great, my truck no longer has a negative arch and we were able to correct a few things along the way including adding an AllPro Ubolt flip kit as well.

Apparently all harbor freight trailers were recalled, she already went there yesterday. Does not have to be backed into the water. Has to handle a 12ft kayak. I am certainly not opposed to a utility trailer, and I am certain he isn't either. I sent a few links for some specifically for kayaks that were like 800 so I am starting to look into utility trailers. He'd probably be happy with a utility trailer he can use with other things.

I was going to suggest the HF trailer also but I see you already went down that path... Maybe the small ones at Tractor Supply? They're a little more expensive but still manageable for just about any tow vehicle.
Is this the one you just bought? What kind of trailer is it again?

Yeah I forget the brand but it’s a nice solid one. Not like the flimsy harbor freight. But I’m going to start having to store it outside so I’m thinking maybe I should get an enclosed

For that reason, I suppose it's nice to have. I don't think I need sensors and cameras to replace my daily driving skills though.

My girl's Rav4 has a camera. I parallel parked it in a tight spot last night without using the camera, after she told me it wouldn't fit.

Ran out on my lunch break, and got my youngest's new car seat installed by the Sargent. That's one thing I won't mess with, even if it's easy. Safety is key when it comes to little ones, so gotta have it done right.

That's the thing, these aids aren't a replacement for just knowing how to drive! I can back up my truck pretty well, but I do like having the sensors for letting me really snug up to something without actually hitting it.
That's good. I installed all of my own and they were a PITA! When I switched them forward facing, I had to go to the Fire Department because I could not get one of them to tighten up properly. They were very helpful and gave me some great tips for the future. Honestly though with some of these, if you're a small framed person, there is no way you can get them in and tight enough by yourself. I don't know how some people do it, especially with leather or vinyl seats. I guess the scary version is a lot of seats aren't installed properly...
