Yep I have the front bumper and I love it. Can't beat the price. Seen multiple fronts on craigslist for 2-300$ can't find any rears though

Ya, zip ties... engage. And super glue.

Overlander level: Fuck it, good enough

Working on trying to sort out all my rubbing, or I'm not going anywhere fast. This thing rubs fenders if I LOOK at a dip wrong. It's rubbing mostly on top, I think, then some on the back when turning. I'm really debating getting new rims with more backspacing...

Ya, I need to crank the front about an inch for sure, and get the re-valve done, but if it's rubbing like this, it's still going to rub when I bottom out, which will likely be often on off road trips :bikewhoops: so I need to climb under and see if it just needs a little trim or more backspace. Ideally, pull the CO and cycle it to see when, where and how hard it's rubbing, but...that sounds suspiciously like work, and I'm lazy/busy these days. I picked up my buddys old 3 leaf AAL I need to add in, and probably a Ubolt flip and new bumpstops while I'm in there.

We basically have the same set up. I've got the 2 inch lift block in the back and my front is cranked up more... while wheeling up in big bear (all slow stuff but definitely flexed it out a bunch).... my pile only rubs the pinch weld and inner fender plastic at the moment. Granted I haven't done any real aggressive desert driving, as I don't want to get a call from the Credit union and have them ask me why I'm hammering on their truck... So I'm not 100 % my current clearance would be as great as I think it is at full lock and full bump. lol That would require pulling said shocks and and cycling, which as you stated is way too much work lol.

Self clearance a great option. Although can be violent.

I've beat my pinch weld, trimmed inner fender, trimmed fender flare, trimmed cab mount, etc. I don't even know whats left to rub. I can def see it's bottoming out on the top, rubbing the inside of the fender flare lip, need to see if it's bad or just noisy. The rear for sure rubs a ton when it's flexed, enough to rip off my fender flare, soooo that needs work for sure. This is why I feel like my rims are a little too light on backspace, they're out far enough to rub everything on the tire size I swear EVERYONE is running... Maybe my truck just can't harness the gnarness...

This is starting to feel like a real TW thread. Pages and pages of no real info, mostly shit talking, a few trip pictures of overly posed vehicles in neat places, then I post that I bought some stupid shit that's more than it should be and show it off to my internet friends to show them how I can buy dumb things for my truck better than they can.

Both of our "build" threads consist of just us chatting back and forth, regarding the overland lifestyle and you zip tying shit.
ohhh and now me chirping you about your shitty hockey team.

Update with a few new things...

Got my Wet Okole seat covers from the group buy, now that I've spilled beers (it's not what you think officer), breakfasts, lunches, camping filth, etc on my seats already. Extra lumbar helps, and I'm not mad about the seat heaters. Also picked up a craigslist special C02 tank and fixed regulator for air-ups. 20lb tank will be a bit of a bear to fasten in, but..oh well. Also, it doubles as a backup source for my kegerator. Those vehicle OCD things I posted off Amazon for the glove box and the console are pretty nice really. Also, "acquired" a voodoo bed basket from a buddy awhile back, not sure if he knows yet. It's ok, he's all desert go-fast guy now, so fuckem. Took a look under the front end to see that the reason my rubbing noises have stopped for the most part (except while turning) is because the thing that was rubbing was the top attachment point on the flare, so....that's cool. Didn't need it anyway.

Also, the zip tie hose holder is just for you Elliot.

Thanks man! The crawler has been fun and until recently fairly trouble free, but it REALLY needs hydro assist/full hydro, and a few other things, and I'm just not as into working on it for some reason. Also, taking it out for trips seems to be few and far between these days, it's a mission to get it out to the hammers or anywhere else. My friends all have V8/super light buggies I can't really keep up with anymore, so it's in no mans land.
