I have an 09 Tacoma. The truck was running fine. Getting off of the freeway, the truck quit moving when the gas was applied. Put it in neutral, revved and had RPM. Put back in drive and no movement. Put it in neutral turned it off and hit the key. Truck wouldn't start. Got to a safe place. Tried to start again, the truck turns over but will not start. The cel and oil light are on. Owner's manual says it is transmission, but other info says fuel pump or oil pump. Anyone had any similar issues?

    Do you have air?
    Do you have spark?
    Do you have fuel?
    Do you have compression?
    Any recent work done?
    Modifications?
    Any codes?
Do you have oil on the dipstick?
    How does your coolant look?
    I can keep asking questions...

Oil light is for oil pressure. Key on, not running, that light should be lit, as there's no oil pressure.

You need to pull the codes if all the basics are covered.

And it's not out of gas, right?

You didn't mention spark. Got that?

Did you actually check fuel pressure or did you just look at the gas gauge?
