    Hey guys! looking like I won't make my first mod day until late February at the earliest, possibly March depending on when it will be scheduled. I am trying to plan most things out so I have everything ready to go when I get back to the states. Is anybody on here good with wiring? I have absolutely no clue how to do it. I have looked into the sPOD. Does anybody use that system or recommend something else? For now I'm planning on running at least a compressor and lockers, and a small light bar, but will eventually be adding more to it. And eventually a duel battery system.

    @VangaSTL Is the guy

    I would vouch for buying an spod but it had a pretty serious malfunction and if it was relocated into the cab how i planned not long ago I wouldn’t have my truck due to a fire. They didn’t want to stand behind their product so fuck em.

    I’d recommend switch pros, arb has a switch system coming out called lynx as well

    Hey bud,

    Apparently I've been nominated the resident electrician LOL. So something I see happen all the time. The Spod and the SwitchPro are only rated for 100amps. So depending on what compressor you use you could use up a lot of that. For Example, the ARB dual compressor under load pulls 50Amps. So the biggest thing is power management, You need to take into account all the accessories you plan on having on your switched device and make sure you don't exceed it's limitations. Just a little friendly advice. I'd be more than happy to help assist you with any questions or wiring it up when the time comes.

    There project would entail me turning the Tacoma back into stock-ish form and trading it in. Unless I could get a reasonable asking price for it as/is after a little clean up.

    What @VangaSTL has humbly omitted is that he is also making an affordable kick ass little fuse/relay distribution block to help make wiring even cleaner. If you have a solid idea of what your immediate and future electrical plans are he can help guide you so that you can build a solid backbone that will easily accept future upgrades.

    My little side project will also only do 100amps. Only difference is it's about 1/10th the cost of a switchpro. Still need to install that sucker. Maybe next weekend

    Thanks for the info! I'll just hold off for now. I'm honestly not in a rush, just looking to save a couple bucks with the sales going on. I think it will be best to wait and get some Face Time with you guys and actually talk and plan out my options. Ideally, whatever route I go, I'm trying to have it done before October 2018. So tons of time!

    Apparently the 2019’s are going to be upgraded/changed/refreshed or something so I’m trying to decide if I want to wait a bit and see what’s going to happen.

    I assume you're planning on jumping to his tray and canopy for the dodge when that gets done? The trucks are pretty sweet and I've looked into buying one several times, just the overall price of the trim and setup I want were pretty pricey. Not too mention I can't look away from all the money I've spent on the Tacoma. Maybe a long ways down the road if the Tacoma becomes a dedicated trail rig I'll buy one.

    You could put the Tacoma up for sale nationally and see what kind of action you get. Build the drive there/fly back cost into the price. Changes are you're not going to find anyone around here. If it doesn't sell by ??? time then bring it to stockish form and then sell it before or around August when the new trucks come out. That would give you plenty of time to make sure you're making the right decision for you. 2 cents

    Tray and canopy are a given. Still trying to sort out their option and package scheme as it’s different than Toyota’s to be sure.

    I want to sell the LandCruiser first but I was thinking about listing it on expo as/is before converting it back into “trade in mode.”
