I ordered a small for 720, and an XL for 879, free shipping on both. That should give me a couple of options for all 4 of us, and for when the girls are grown and gone. I'll probably make/buy a rack for the small for the bed, and make a simple camp trailer for the XL. A little more than I wanted to spend but with the sale now .. at least it's a little better. Buy once cry once. Kind of an easy choice, buy 2 smalls for 1440, or one of each for 1599.

I was bummed the SC deal feel through, but really appreciate all of the work you guys put into it. This was probably about the next best option for my needs right now.

4 Wheel Parts has the XL for $879

 

Yea I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on that XL. Heard a few negatives on the stitching/seams but mostly positive reviews.

 

How does the xl fit on are beds? Big?

 

Width is 4 feet, which is fine. Do you have a short bed or long? The length is 76". Should be about 10" longer than the short bed. But up on a rack it probably wouldn't be an issue.. unless it was in the way of a swing out tire carrier etc.

 

Smittybilt. Without putting up the windows in place, i can have it up in under 5 minutes. Same thing with packing it away. Can't wait to try it out.

 

@Mrguitarguy01 can you update the title to include "pictures of the tent you got instead and BS".

We can make a late in the year run for Thread of the Year.

 

Unfortunately the day before I was going to pay the front end of my Land Cruiser exploded and now I have to rebuild the entire axel. Possibly rear as well.
