All this talk of Rams made me go build one out again lol. Even though I doubt I’d need a mega cab that with the 6’4” would be my preference.

The name “mega cab” demands that I want one.

Ram because making 37s fit is less work than making 33s fit on a Tacoma

Kinda wish I went for a mega cab, but either way is an upgrade in interior room over the tacoma

Not sure, i think they measured just over 33. Some trucks come with 34s from the factory. 40s for the ram is like clearing for 35s on the Tacoma, my next tire size once i can afford lockers and gears

@G.T. you got some convincing to do man. Ran into your wife when I was leaving the BX food court and she said I needed to text you lol. Her words, “He wants to get a dodge! Oh hell no!” Lol.

Hahahahaha.. When we were dating she had some totally shit dodge car that was ruined before she bought it. I was constantly working on that thing and pleading with her to be sympathetic to the machine in the hopes of extending its life. She drove it like a pissed off teenager and destroyed it. Got her a Mazda and she murdered it too.

We both love the Tacoma but the interior space and passenger comfort level isn't ideal, and at the end of the day if the family isn't comfortable then they aren't enjoying the trips we take. If I can work some magic with the numbers I can sell the house we are in now, the LandCruiser and some of this other antique and hobby farm equipment that we have and then not only have free space in the shop, but also cash to buy the new truck allowing me to keep the Tacoma. I'm slow at math because I still count on my fingers for the most part.

Figured somebody would have answered you by now but didn't see anything. What year Impala? How do you know it is running too cool? I would have done the same as you, install a thermostat that doesn't open until a higher temp. But, I looked up 2012 thermostats and they all list 180 degrees. If you leave the radiator cap off, does it ever seem like warm fluid is running through the radiator, or any fluid at all?

For 2012, looks like there are 2 sizes of radiators: the Police Package has a much bigger one. The standard radiator has 2 designs, one with a 45 degree inlet and one with a 90 degree inlet.

so I'm planning on a decent sized trip next October on my way back form vegas. Has anybody done any trails or camped near colorado springs? It will be one of my stops and I don't know the area. I'd prefer to just camp off the trail if possible. If not what do y'all think the best camp sites are?

I'm new to TW, but I live in the STL area. I am just checking in to see what goes on in our area for Tacomas.
