I have a 2008 TRD Sport Access Cab. I have recently started noticing a water sound in the back of my cab when I go around turns. It sounds like water is trapped under the back of my cab.

I park the truck outside on a slope. It has been raining here recently.

    Has anyone noticed this before?

    Thanks

Gas Tank is probably what your hearing. When I turn off my truck and listen carefully, I can hear it shloshing around in the cab of the truck.

Ive had the truck for two years and just started hearing the sound. My gas tank was below 1/4 tank so I went and filled it up the other day and it still sounded the same.

The only time I hear it is when I'm driving around turns. Its pretty annoying. It may be the gas tank. If it is, it needs to be fixed. I couldn't imagine Toyota would have designed something like that.

If water were to get into the interior, you would smell it. Most likely it would come from the A/C pipe. It can get clogged like anyother A/C pipe.

But the way your describing it, it sounds like its more than a couple inches.

Run the truck until the gas tank is as close to EMPTY as possible and try to replicate the sound. I can hear the gas slushing inside the gas tank of my Tacoma, Lexus IS 250 and my old STi.
