You can delete running boards, mats, etc as they are just port or dealer options but you cannot change Tech, Premium. Think of Packages as Factory Options and once it is slated to be built, then it will be built that way.

I guess I just misunderstood the terminology difference between allocation and order like I did. Not trying to mislead anyone.

Yeah, that's what I thought - assuming there is some sort of assembly configuration they need to do and something like Premium, which requires different physical configuration like moon roof and dual AC.

He got back to me and he's getting a bit annoyed. "Where did you get that chart?" I'm probably going to go with the one he has allocated and try and take the 1900 I'll save and upgrade after.

So for me the sales manager said she will be getting a few that they are going to have delivered by end of Dec/beginning of Jan.
She said if I can commit to purchasing one they can request it be built the way I want.
Such as delete the options that they usually get.
I wrote down exactly what I want and short while later she confirmed that it'll be ordered exactly as I wrote down and nothing more.
And will come in with the first batch of 2018s.
So I'm not sure if it's allotment that was changed or just ordered extra.

Either way if it shows up just how I ordered I'll be happy.

Toyota Santa Rosa Internet Manager over the phone told me 33.5 for a Cement Offroad MT with no options. He asked for $500 down and he'd call me when he had it locked down.

Things change, and now I need a 1/2 ton truck :pout:

does this mean opting for the tech package has a color bumper (not black?)... putting a deposit down soon on a Cement color and the only package coming in is premium (with tech) & was hoping for a black bumper...

Too many but also not enough mods
Post where you're buying the truck. Prices are different across the country for the same vehicle.

I secured my 2018 Double Cab Long Bed 4x4 TRD Off Road in Cement, only options are: All-weather floor mats and door seal protectors, tow package (but that's standard in 2018), and NO tech package, for $36,234.00 out the door.
Went into the local dealer (NW Montana) on Saturday planning to get a 2017, but discovered (thanks to cargurus.com) that they had 2018's that were in transit already to the dealer. The original out the door price on the 2017 (equipped the same) was $36,029.00.

To me it was worth the $205 to get the cement color and the 2018.

All the prices at my dealer have $995 (delivery processing and handling), $8 title fee, $197 Office fee). So take those out and the best price was $34,829.00 for the 2017 and $35,034.00 for the 2018.

My new 2018 should be here between 11/22-11/26.

No sales tax in Montana. Just registration ($217)
Auto (Long bed DC's only option). No premium package.

Yeah. It's an Auto... wish they made the long bed with a manual.
It's just a base Double Cab, Long Bed, 4x4, TRD Offroad package, with all-weather mats and door seal protectors.

The price I was given included the 995 delivery fee that seems to be on all Toyotas.
So I guess it' really 36,335.plus fees.
    Minus the floor mats Lol.

a dealer just contacted me -- (i live in MASS) about a 2018 trd pro - in the new blue color - ( i dont want it - but played along to see what they would do for pricing)

This is where we ended up: The MSRP is $45,167 and we take $500 off MSRP so your sale price would be $44,667

She sent over the build/spec sheet - and we back and forth about the "optional equipment" - she said they could not be removed. is that true?

spare tire lock for $75? mudguards for $129? etc.

are these items not able to be removed from a truck not yet arrived at the dealer? i thought they could delete those items?

    base is 43,520 + 995 delivery fee.

Am i wrong to think they should be able to sell for that - minus the $620 worth of extras?

    Optional Equipment
    50 State Emissions $0.00
    TRD PRO Package: All Content
    Included as Standard Equipment

    $0.00

    All-Weather Flr Liner/Door Sill
    Protector
    $228.00
    Door Edge Guard $140.00
    Mudguards $129.00
    Spare Tire Lock $75.00
    Wheel Locks (Alloy) $80.00
    Total Optional Equipment $652.00
    Vehicle Base Model $43,520.00
    Delivery Processing and
    Handling

    $995.00

    Total MSRP* $45,167.00
