When I was in my mid 20's I made a model that looked exactly like that 59, including the continental kit and fender skirts (except I painted it metallic mint green).
I've seen those extra long fender skirts on 58 thru 60 Impalas but of course the model kit didn't come with them so (you know how a laundry basket will have a plastic basket weave pattern),
so I cut a couple of pieces off the laundry basket and shaped them into those long fender skirts.. I think risking my life to take that picture on the freeway was well worth the memories. :D

Then this beast rolled in. It's exhaust note combined "muscle car" with "drive by shooting." Pops were LOUD.

Sold this, and traded my SR Taco to facilitate the purchase of my PRO. This car may have ended up costing me my drivers license, lol

Sinister is a good name for that motor and exhaust note. 574 cubic inches of chromed death under that hood.

...^^^... I never knew that Buick made a woody like that.

Is it real or an artist's sketch ?

The lines on it are very cool.

Real as far as I know and I think the wood is fake and painted on but seriously cool nonetheless.
