It's a weird angle...wanted to avoid my mug in the shot. Installed exactly as indicated in the directions. Seems to work well. However my wife's base model Escape has blind spot mirrors standard...but she misses out on the fun of DIY. Her base model Escape also came with LED lights standard. LED installation is my next job on the Taco.

Note to Toyota: please make LED standard...at least on the interior. At the very least amp up the lumens/brightness of the crappy tungsten/halogen lights. The yellow orange haze is starting to wear on me...

Interesting... Square ones. Haven't seen those. My old pair were smaller round ones. Now MORE to think about for this sub $10 DIY... Sometime I hate this place!;)

Great idea there. I may have to steal that, I dont wheel as often as id like and my truck is my DD so being able to quickly mount and dismount this stuff would be nice.

The round one's seemed more like a "fish eye" view whereas these are more rectangled and have about a 20% beveled angle. It's essentially a mirrored wedge shaped thingy.

Big difference in sound? I’m not a huge sound system guy but if it makes a nice difference i wouldn’t mind spending the money

Tweeters alone make a huge sound difference over the non-JBL system and it's very easy to do. Of course, upgrading the other speakers are also icing on the cake and are also easy to do, but the most bang for your buck will be had with the tweeter upgrade.

20171113_163708.jpg I bought this pair for my truck around 2 years ago and forgot they were in my toolbox. Still new I need to figure the best placement. They are only 2" x 2" so won't block the mirrors. Think they were $6 at Walmart. Just dusty from sitting.

I've been setting up a switch-pro on @Mr.PowerTrays mount in the engine bay. Need a few things to get it finaled and functional.

That leg is supposed to be bolted onto the tray. I lost the bolt in the bay

Haven't done anything, but the guy with the other white 3rd gen AC on the other side of the parking lot at work put some SR5 Outdoor Edition decals on with mountains above the door letters on his and if he's reading this, it looks bad ass.

I did a little of both. There is very little tolerance for error, so I wet it a little and used the contact paper to transfer. If doing this method, cut the contact paper smaller than the letter and don't be afraid to use it several times. The water just helped give me a better margin of error. The contact paper helped with initial positioning and keeping the exact shape of the vinyl. You also have to peel the contact paper by keeping it close to the surface, don't pull away from the surface or the vinyl will pull off too.

I did your glove box vinyl with the wet method and painter's tape. I've done some vinyl work myself with adobe illustrator and the silhouette machine I got my wife. She tends to make shirts for game days and Christmas presents.

Nice work on the vinyl. Like I said, tolerances are almost exact. Quality stuff.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I spend a lot of time measuring and remeasuring the letters to get them just right.
