If you don't know what you want to do, then don't waste your money.

I went to engineering for 1.5 years after high school and not knowing what I wanted to do. I ended up spending a shit-load of money and not being interested in it at all. I then dropped out after that year and a half and went to work at the coal mine where I was pushed towards geology.

After 8 months off I took 2 years at a college for Hydrogeology. I discovered I was much more interested in that and so that is what I have been pursuing ever since. I just decided that I wanted more than a Diploma so now I am going back for my degree.

I can't say my first 1.5 years was a complete waste. I made a lot of friends that I remain close with even today, and I got credit towards my Geology degree. It is important to know what you want to do though, it makes it much easier to learn when you want to.

That being said I am still not done my assignment, however it isn't due till Friday so I am not completely f-ed yet!

+1 dude thats some good advice ha. I'm interested in mechanical engineering because I know its such and open field and I can do so much with it...but no clue what I actually want to be doing yet. maybe I'll just take the time off to get out there and figure out what I want to do with my degree so when I go back it'll be motivation to get there...not just wasting time when I'm not even sure yet. and glad to here every thing's working out for you. sounds like you found what really interests you and thats what I want someday ha

did you try making it 12.5 font instead of 12 and squeezing the margins in a little.
