So the RTT has yet to effect mpg. Probably because it’s about as aerodynamic as a brick.

Gov-lock anyone? The original GM locker...

I’m sure they’ve figured it out though by now.

Also I’m with you on diesel. If you do your own maintenance they suck balls. *I’ll qualify this statement. The diesel motor itself doesn’t suck necessarily but doing maintenance on said diesel sucks.

Brand new shouldn’t be bad I’m sure. At least for a little while.

:anonymous: I’m also a jaded previous owner of a diesel that required way too much maintenance. Damn 24v.

I work with a whole bunch diesel mechanics that they said would help me if I needed it after the warranty lapses.

I loved my 24 valve. And both spares I had in the garage. Used to rebuild them and sell the rebuilds. Really cool motor when it was the manual throttle and not electronic.

    I had a ‘99.

I got really good at working on it. Sold it after it left me stranded for the third time. Great motor otherwise.

*I blame Dodge for two of them and Cummins for the third.

4runners only had 4.30 in the elocker/8” rear but the fronts are available. I can check out a place by me if you want for the front. Probably be $250-300.

I miss seeing that sign, it’s this time of year I wish I will had our cabin in cold springs.

The only reason I'm against diesels right now is because of what i see at Ford. It scares me out of owning a diesel. That being said, i haven't heard of many complications with the newer Duramaxs.

On Ferds side, the emissions requirements of new diesel engines are still causing routine failures that are (if fixed at the shop) thousands of dollars. Additionally, a replacement engine is $12k +. I couldn't stomach that repair bill.

I do hope that your Colorado is everything you want it to be and gives you no grief. I will probably regret not getting one....

Idk that's the size that came up in the blemished thread. I think currently I'm close to that as factory off road wheels are 5 iirc and I have 1.25" spacers

Is that a bad thing? Haven't sold myself completely on 35s yet but I think that's the goal here

To the best of my knowledge, backspacing helps you clear components. Too much (or too little if you catch my drift) gives you're wheels extra leverage on other components (like your spindles, wheel bearings, tie rods, ball joints) and will make you more likely to break and wear faster. I don't know what you need for 35s on a 2nd gen, but too much BS and you'll hit stuff, too little and, well that could get ugly
